this is a great alternative to the classic pen through dollar. especially strong if you use a
sharpie throughout your closeup routine, and switch it in with the gimmick. excellent product
Its not a great effect, and it never will be; but this is the single best version of the effect I
have ever seen, with the exception of Mislead (which is really a PENCIL through dollar).
The gimmick is very strong and the pen looks completely real, and it is examinable if you handle
the situation right.
Its the standard effect but done perfectly with the marker you always carry. As other reviews have
mentioned, It isnt branded, but theres ways around this, either remove the branding off your regular
sharpie, allowing you to swap out for inspection, OR, with a little bit of homework, you can
reconstruct one using parts from the gimmick, and MAKE a branded one. This trick has always made a
big impression on my spectators, and is perfect to sneak in after a few signed card tricks, so they
dont ask to inspect the pen too closely.
This is the best trick i have ever orderd of penguin. It always tricks your spectators. I've done
it like 5-6 times to one kid and he hasn't figured it out. I'm only 10 and I can fool everyone with
it! 3 words: ADD TO CART NOW!!!!
out of all the "pen thru dollar" pens that i own this is the best because the "gimmick"is so strong.
I like it. Excellent reactions and such. NOT INSPECTABLE. What I did was take another sharpie
marker and I sanded off the label and I keep both in my pocket. This way, while they are stunned, I
can switch them out. Always make sure to tell your magic-ee to write lightly "as to not rip the
dollar".
This is a great trick and you can do so much more with the pen but you get marker on your hands but
it is worth it.
This is a great trick but there are some faults... if they whant to see the pen its not 100%
inspectible but when u get it you will learn to to avoid that... but other than that its the best
purchase I've made!!!
I love that the blackbird can be put through almost anything. I got huge reactions from my friends
and parents, however there are some downsides.
- I constently got ink all over my hands
that could not be washed off.
- although it takes almost no time to teach yourself the basic
routine, lots of people will want to inspect the marker, in which they will instantly find out the
secret.
But if you are the Kind of magician who likes to get reactions fast I would
recommend it.
Like I said, it's good, but not for close up magic, because when the pen goes through the dollar (or
whatever) they would want to inspect it, and they'll figure it out in no time, but I highly
recommend looking for a duplicate marker like the SR and then you could switch it no problem. My
cousin has the B2 Bomber, I think B2 is better cause thats fully inspectible.
P.S.:Penguin
