Gimmicks aren't discussed in this forum.
However, with "Departure", the 3 advertising videos in conjunction with the ad copy tell you everything that you need to know about the gimmick...certainly more than most ads.
Regarding "Presto...", originally intro'd in 2008, although you feel otherwise, I've not seen it lately (nor have I really looked...to be truthful) and PM says that it's discontinued.
Presto does not use a reel. The method is the 'typical' load technique for that type of effect...nothing too challenging.
The problem, in my opinion, is how to get the ring off the key ring at the tricks conclusion without exposing the secret.
