Leo Smester's Harmonica Chop Cup

What kind of "chop cup" balls work with this cup? I notice none are listed as being included. I have such a cup and the regular "chopped" balls (which have a shim attracted to a magnet) do NOT seem to work. Must one use a ball with a magnet inside? Please advise. thanks.
