Look, I don’t want to sound like a curmudgeon. There are some good things here, but there are some
real opportunities for improvement.
1- Why do the business cards have to fit so tightly.
Just make a little bigger so that the performer doesn’t have to struggle to pull them out? I
shouldn’t have to trim my cards to fit comfortably. Plus, another slot could be put in.
2-
Not sure what is more cruel, using leather or creating more plastic waste... that is a debate for
another day. However, the material is NOT that durable and “sticky,” particularly on humid days.
It makes sliding the card with the written word and pulling out business cards much worse. It works
better when I place in drying oven (really) before performing.
3- The gimmick looks NOTHING
like a credit card. At all. Great idea, but it looks, well fake.
That being said, it is a
fooler and fun to do.
I guess the engineer in me always looks for ways to improve...
This is fun to work with
I agree with the snug fit on business cards. Inexcusable.
However, I rubbed Mink Oil on all of the leather parts and the "stickiness" went away (pretty much). My cards are shiny and stuck like glue before, and now they slide in pretty easily.
I also felt that the gimmicked card did not look very realistic, so I took some old train passes (made of a very thin plastic) and cut them into strips, and then used super-glue to attach them to the top of the gimmicked card (staggered over the protruding red strip). It now looks extremely convincing, and even more impossible because you are placing the peeked card (seemingly) on top of 3 cards inside of a pocket!!
