This is from memory re. the last release of this.
When this first was released well over a year
ago I liked the concept but the negatives kept me from ordering. First and foremost I don't think
the dice were rechargeable. I believe you had to send them back for a replacement when They lost
power. This new version is easily recharged via usb cable. I also think the original was selling for
$100 more than this new version.
But regardless of how accurate my memory is re. the previous
version this is one great trick. Right up there with my other favorite, Joao Miranda's The Watch.
I can't believe anyone will be less than delighted with this.
Non-rechargeable batteries are no drawback.
There is a high chance that normal batteries will last much longer than rechargeable ones.
The ones by P*******c had a lifetime of 10 years+.
Rechargeable batteries allow for 300-400 charge cycles.
Deep charge and bad charging behavior (charge it every time) can reduce the lifespan.
What happens when the rechargeable batteries finally loose their power (and they will).
Does Murphys offer a option to exchange them in this case (after 2+ years).
So it’s a advantage for Marc’s dice.
Love the idea of combining mental dice with the watch from Miranda. Bought both.
