The linking of the bands is super visual. You do need something apart from the bands, and the bands can be handed out and examined. Love it.

the specil thing that you need to make the gimmick you have to buy in a magic shop or in a general store?

The "special thing" is most easily bought from Penguin or any magic shop (8 for $10). I have heard of people making their own with something you would easily find in a general store or department/big box store.
