Can't say how much I love this! I actually had the original playing cards (an Old maid deck) when I was a kid. Andrew gives such clear directions and the presentation advice is so useful beyond just this trick. Both effects are so powerful that it leaves the audience stunned!

This comment adds the possibility of a nice element of specificity to the patter. "I saw these in a shop and I recognized them. They have the same artwork as an Old Maid deck that I had as a child." That makes it personal with a nostalgic element and adds an immediacy to the reason for bringing them out.
