In itself a very nice and rubuste box with attractive solid wood. But with mine, one drawer was sluggish and the other was not evenly flush at the front and the top slot was crooked. I had to spend some time with fine sandpaper to get this somewhat corrected. A glued brass button is also a real weak point for me, should definitely be screwed tightly in the wood.

I absolutely agree with you. "Both" drawers are very sluggish so I will use your suggestion and start sanding. Any tips on where to sand to get the most benefit or just "experiment"? Thank you for your comment.
