"Looch has one of the most creative minds in the new generation of mentalists who have taken the art into the 21st Century. I like the way he thinks, as proven by the fact that I regularly use his creations in my own repertoire."- Bob Cassidy

"Looch is one of the best creative forces in the field of mentalism. All of his ideas are clever, innovative and above all practical" -Marc Paul

"Looch has that special sort of mind that can devise sly, ingenious routines that will fool even the wise ones. He lays his traps with care, and knows how to be one step ahead of even the sharpest spectator. If you like your mentalism to be practical yet deliciously baffling, he's your man." -Ian Rowland

"Looch's way of thinking, as exemplified in his focus on practices both "simple and direct," appeals greatly to me. He consistently crafts and shares methods and effects that add to my own knowledge and work. Looch uses the same principles when he teaches, providing a clear guide to what is important in mentalism and I always look forward to what he will come up with next!" -Dr. Bill Cushman

"There are mentalists whose work I respect and admire, and then there are mentalists whose work makes me wish I could go back in time and claim it as my own. Looch is the second kind."- Joshua Quinn

"Looch never ceases to amaze me, his effects are clear, methods practical and end results are always winners. He works in the real world and it shows from the quality of his work." -Marc Spelmann

"Since his debut of S.A.D, Looch has been an innovator who has shared his special way of approaching the art of entertaining with thoughts. His offerings are from his own personal working repertoire, and are proven workers, that are well worth your consideration." -Sebastian Black

"Looch never fails to amaze me with his well thought out and meaningful approaches. Just Brilliant." -Ben Harris

"It's a constantly recurring experience for us to be astounded by Looch's incredible thinking when he shares one of his brainchild's with us. He has this rare ability of lateral thinking to create convincing and powerful effects even from technically simple ideas. He always goes the extra mile in pondering about an effect regarding its impact as well as its practicability. If you want a lesson in trimming an idea to its core - listen carefully to Looch!" -Thomas Heine, Rainer Mees – ParaLabs

"I love Looch! His material is practical, any place, any time. Solid tried and tested miracles that leave your audience with their brain spilling out of their head. My advice? Grab anything with his name on it, I predict it just might be the best products you get your hands on." -Pete Turner

I like Looch, but this lecture was a bit underwhelming for me. Two of the routines are just variations of well known ones by Bob Cassidy, and not necessarily strengthened in any way.

The middle routine is a tad confusing and I don't feel the process the mentalist is ostensibly using would translate to most audiences. Why would you ask someone seemingly irrelevant questions AFTER they've chosen a color? It would probably be more telling for them to answer BEFORE their choice, but even then, the average audience member will not understand what you're supposed to be doing. In other words, NOT direct mentalism at all with this one.

The opener was my favorite bit but primarily with the theme. The method is way to heavy for the strength of the reveal. It's essentially a 1-in-8 prediction where you aren't pointing out the prediction before hand? Even to a lay audience, this is going to scream "multiple outs" (even if they don't know explicitly what that means).

Some of Looch's devices are clever, but I find his performances lacking meaning or depth so there's nothing much to find here as far as scripting or character goes. He's just a friendly guy who reads mind, which is fine, but not particularly fascinating.

I'd recommend the lecture just for some of the methods/devices but not much else.

A "working mentalist's" lecture Report this review

If you've been exposed to Looch in the past it's obvious that he works in the real world and every idea shared in this lecture confirms that fact.

"Would You Rather?" is a GREAT combination of principles that leads to a very clean and deceptive prediction of free responses to the topical game. The way the prediction is brought into play was a pleasant surprise because of how clean and open it appears.

"Inspire & Explore" is a nice variant on "Name and Place" that combines some bold (but simple) choreography/routining with a clever gimmick. If you're looking for a version of this plot that requires a minimal amount of manual dexterity this is a solid rendition to study.

"The Line Up" is essentially a chair-test paired up with "Sneak Thief" and the underlying methods used are characteristically "Looch" (simple and direct). An interesting interaction with one of the participants is caught on film during the routine that makes it clear how quick-witted Looch is during a live performance. He handled a challenging situation like a true pro and didn't alienate the person in question. Nice job Looch!

"School Days" is a variant on 4DT that, agian, is simple and direct. I smiled during the explanation because Looch and I think along VERY similar lines for this routine. I KNOW the choreography he recommends works because it's almost identical to how I've been performing my version(s) of 4DT for years. This is definitely worth a look if you're seeking a solid piece of mentalism that permits multiple reveals of information.

Overall, this is a wonderful collection of thoughts from a man who knows what he's doing. Thanks for sharing with the community!

Great performance by Looch.
The show was a joy to watch. You can tell that the audience is having a great time throughout the show and the effects are really strong and entertaining. There is lots of audience participation and Looch certainly knows how to build rapport with the crowd.
As far as methods are concerned, all the effects are really well thought out and there is a combination of methods that make it impossible for lay people to backtrack them.
Great material and great performance. Highly recommended.

I knew this was going to be good and I’m glad my prediction was correct. All solid workable ideas. You can tell looch has genuinely used a lot of this material in the real world and it isn’t an act cobbled together out of brain farts or random ideas. You did bob proud, one of my favourite lectures to date. Well done

This is a very good lecture. Although the effects may be classics the presentations and the additions to the methods for some of them are well worthwhile additions. In particular the peek envelope mentioned in the trailer is brilliant. In addition there are lessons on how to cover problems with handwriting and still register with the audience. Recommended
