These cups are amazing! They are well worth twice the price. They have a beautiful weight to them and the ring tone is like a bell! Over 45 years I have acquired a modest cup collection and these are right up at the top. I guarantee you will not be disappointed.

OK, I purchased the aged copper version of this. It came with a blemish on them. For $150, I thought they should be blemish free. I sent them back. Penguin did its customer service thing, and replaced the set with another. There is another blemish that is very disappointing. But it is not as noticeable as the first. Since Penguin assured me that it would inspect the cups before resending, I can only assume that the blemish was within what Penguin considered acceptable, of that it could not find a cups and balls set that was unblemished. Since it is a copper set, I am hoping the natural oxidation process obscures this admittedly sleight defect. That being said, the cups are a great weight, size, and feel, and nest together well. However, I just feel for $150 bucks they should be immaculate, but they are not. However, I have chosen to keep them, so maybe I should have rated them a little higher. Anyway, like I said, they are a good weight and size, they just don't stand close inspection, neither the first set I received nor the second set I received. But I am hoping it is a thing that I won't notice after a while with oxidation. I try to keep my reviews honest, and I feel like I should mention that I would have been ecstatic if the cups aesthetics matched the weight, size, and feel.

WOW! These cups are substantial in weight and design. They look and feel fantastic. These cups rival those that cost a lot more. The finish is amazing and I am very happy with the set!

Where do I begin? These cups are so beautiful, a work of art if you will. I own a set of penguin cups and these are bigger! Much bigger! Big enough to fit a penguin cup inside too. At a total of two pounds, these cups are heavy enough to knock out your toughest spectators! I love how the polished copper really shines, but I'd probably invest in some copper cleaner, you can get some for about $10 online or Wal-Mart. These cups sound so beautiful too, the video doesnt do it justice, you just have to hear them yourself.
The set comes with a set of crochet balls, but I use my mini baseballs, it really doesnt matter what you use. You can also fit a whole tennis ball, which I use as a final load, without fear of jamming.
My only complaint is that at such a high price, you don't get a travel bag. Not a problem since I had one already. They do how ever come in a nice packaging that would protect them to some degree.
All in all I would highly recommend these cups. They are in my mind just perfect and makes my love for my favorite trick even more favorable.

I was very pleased when I received my "LEGEND" cups and balls. These are lovely, weighty, and proportionately spot on as a real set of 'worker' cups. The finish is near perfect, with only minor machining marks in the dimple at the top of the cups. At this price point, you will be hard-pressed to find a better value in a set of cups. Highly recommended!

I've been doing cups and balls for 40 years. I've seen about every cup out there (almost) from the light cheapies to the sterling silver beauties. The Legends are very credible contenders. They are very heavy, but I adjusted to that quickly. I have lots of other cups I consider heavy, and like them, but these are definitely the heaviest. The more I used them, the more I liked them. If you're a beginner, get these. You won't regret it. If you're a pro and don't want to take out your $2500 silvers, get these as your everyday cups (unless you prefer lighter cups). All in all, I think these are very nice. I've seen a few people complaining about a blemish here or there but, for the price, and for the way I use them and bang them around at shows, this is a great, study set that nests well, handles well, and are heavy enough for anyone.

You get what you pay for. You can do cups and balls with Red Solo cups but if you need some gravity (and weight!) to your performance you need an impressive set. Invest in a good routine to go with these and you won't be disappointed.
