When I got this DVD, I was expecting it to be like a basic instructional on coin Magic. I was pretty
wrong. I wasn't the most experienced and had a very hard time at first.
Like most of my
reviews, this is where I talk about the material on it. Jay put together a very full visual guide of
ORIGINAL coin magic. That's essentially what it is. It seems like he just wanted to get his thoughts
down. But some of the segments to tricks are really short, some are pretty extensive. The most
important thing to keep in mind though, is that this is hard stuff. THere is a lot of backpalming
and pinching, even some classic palms. But it's very solid working material you will use!
Over all, I would suggest this if you want to learn more coin magic, not techniques. There are a
few techniques taught, but not a lot. You should start with Sleight of Hand Secrets With Coins or
Bobo's Modern Coin Magic.

There is a lot of material on here and if you like performing on a table and pad, you'll like this
DVD. I, however, prefer street magic and being able to perform without a table and pad. I did not
see any tricks on here that I would want to incorporate into my repertoire.
On another
note, Sankey is extremely corny. I know a lot of magicians tend to be but Sankey takes the cake. I
didnt find any of his humor offensive but just ridiculously lame. I guess if you're into dorky
humor you might dig his style but even other magicians I know who have this idea have mentioned
their dislike for how hard he trys to be funny. Makes it very hard to rewatch.

Let me say right off the bat that this DVD is not for beginning coin magicians. Not that everything
is difficult but most of it uses harder moves than the basics.
Several of the effects use a
gimmick of some kind but most of them are impromptu. My favorite effects are:
"Mr. Clean
Coins Across"- A visual coins across using only three coins
"Mexican Jumping Coins"- A
three coins across that uses less coins than you think (if that makes sense)
"Messiah Coin
Vanish"- A super clean coin vanish and appearance (you will do this ALL the time)
"No
Jacket Required"- A four coins to pockets with a devious handling
The effects on this
DVD aren't particularly hard, it's just getting used to the moves that's the challenge. So there are
35 routines and tricks on the DVD, most if not all you will like.
Then there's the bonus
material. Over 30 minutes of it. This section consists of 9 effects that are add-ons to the original
tape. Unfortunately, I only like three of them, but perhaps you will like more. These are my
favorite:
"Camouflage"- A coin appearance with a built-in presentation
"Deja Vu"-
A coin jumps from your pocket to your hand three times, each time more convincing than the last (you
will need a certain gimmick for this)
"Delayed Reaction"- A very strange and startling
Tenkai Pennies routine
Tons of "revolutionary" material to learn. This DVD has my highest
recommendation.

Whether you are just starting out, or have been doing magic for years, this DVD will teach you
pretty much everything you need to know about coin magic. Sankey goes into good detail on all of the
moves, so it's easy to learn. Like all coin magic, it's going to take a fail amount of practice
before you'll be able to do some of the better stuff but it's worth it. For some reason, Sankey
feels the need to drop the F-Bomb a couple times. Just thought I'd let you know so you aren't taken
off guard.

All of the material was great except for the fact that i was new to coins and i found a lot of the
routines hard : oh well Jay is the man anyway so i would suggest this dvd if you have experience in
coins.

I personally don't like this DVD. This DVD is for more intermediate coin handlers. You have to know
how to do false transfers and quick palming and skills like that to do the tricks on the video. HE
DOES NOT TEACH YOU THEM, and the couple that he teachers, he teaches very fast and it is hard to
keep up with him so for me this was not a good buy. I would recomend getting something that teaches
you how to do slights in coin magic first, master that, and then get this DVD. This DVD has a lot of
great effects, and if you can do all the transers, palming, ect, then the DVD will come in great
handy to you. But if you are just starting off in coin magic, don't get this right away, wait till
you are a bit more experianced.

Alright. Basically, this DVD is good. It has some great routines, some great sleights, and all are
explained well. What turns me off is the teacher. DOn't get me wrong, Jay really is a good teacher.
He's clear, he's thorough, blah blah blah. What he needs to work on is his presentation. He tries to
be funny during the video, which normally isn't a bad thing, but he comes off as an annoying,
attention-seeking twerp. A little bit of craziness in a video is good, it keeps the magic juicy and
interesting. But Jay persitently puts on weird accents and even blasphemes in his explanation of the
K.I.S.S Transpo. Not good. That really detracts from this otherwise solid video.

There are some wonderful effects on this dvd - Mr clean coins across, the himber sankey count, the
coins through table...astonishing and practical coin magic. So why don't I like it? Two minor
reasons, and one major one. First some of the tricks are silly (the first coin production, some
nonsense with card boxes and others). Secondly, rather than being the traditional
effect/explanation structure, each 'track' is unstructured to the point of sometimes seeming almost
random - which is OK in principle, but in practice the sections seem unplanned "what shall I do
next...err..try this" with no attempt at quality control or re recording of any less than
satisfactory performances. Laziness? Yes. Arrogance - certainly. Which brings me to by far the
worst part of this dvd for me - Sankey's irritating, overbearing and deeply unfunny presentation of
almost all the effects. Why does he insit on adopting deeply unfunny "funny" accents? Why does he
pull all thoste silly faces? Why is his performance so excruciatingly painful to watch, making
repeat viewings about as enjoyable as root canal treatment? At one point he is suddenly and quite
needlessly blasphemous (I'm an atheist, but even so - why?). He come across on this dvd as a
contemptuous, arrogant so and so wrongly convinced of his talents as an off-the-wall comedian (is
there one single funny thing in 2 hours plus of his performance?). I should have known - I saw him
live once in Blackpool and he was astongishingly rude to a member of the audience for no reason
whatsoever, and clearly has learned no more humility since. Buy it if you must, but hey Sankey work
on your personality, or at least learn how to control it so you can at least pretend to be decent

First off the DVD only just made my 3 star mark. The stuff here isnt that great and its presented in
a way that hurts the matrial being shown. What I mean by that is he shows you the sleights he's
about to use in a trick before he actually does the trick... Kinda kills the effect and takes away
any surprise you may have gotten from it.
However there is some usable stuff here like
Traveling Expense's (which is thought in his other DVDs) and some handy sleights.
I like
Sankey but I'll be honest, this DVD is only ok.

Ok, I am a walk around magician and do not always work with a table and pad. A lot of stuff on the
video is good, but most is done with a table. Don't get me wrong, this is a great video and I use a
lot of it. (Also I am a Christian and wasn't at all offended with anything he said) But, if you are
a stand up walk around magician look for something else first, than if you thought about it buy this
and don't be disapointed.
thanks
