I am generally not a fan of gimmicked book tests as there are so many good methods for ordinary
books. However, the book in this case can be BRIEFLY examined by the participant, the word choices
are good, and the theme of Dracula fits well for a mentalist. The book is well known, so as not to
raise suspician the way the unknown titles in so many others do. If you are going to use a
gimmicked book, this one is solid. One note: This would be better as a hardcover.

Let's face it, there are so many book tests out there, there's no reason to spend money on one that
you think has a severe shortcoming. The shortcoming on this one is that the book can't be examined.
Sure, no one's forcing you to let the spectators handle the book afterwards, but if you CAN get
booktests in which the method is completely invisible, allows you to accomplish the same effect and
get the same reactions, why would you knowingly choose this one?

This is a very well done gimmicked book. A few moments to learn and with showmanship a beautifully
designed book test.
The book can be fully examined before the effect and will most likely never raise suspicion. A tip I use to lend legitimacy to the book itself that is subtle and many will say unnecessary, "Some bookstores have price tags that are large and say the name of the book, price and store name. I bought a copy of dracula and carefully peeled the tag off the store bought book, and applied this over the barcode/black magic imprint on the back. Completely unnecessary I know, but in my mind it added to the idea that the book is genuine and helped hide the word magic which I found slightly obtrusive." You will enjoy performing this, it is easy, very deceptive and I have never failed to get great reactions when I use this. A great trick to practice build-up and showmanship skills and perfect for the false memory implants in spectator minds after the fact. Did this review help you?

This is an absolutly fabulous effect, I can't recommend it enough. The book is 100% examinable and
the work is easy to remember. Even after the effect the spectator can have a quick flick through,
although don't let them steadily look through it!

I performed this effect last week, and it blew people away. It is very powerful mentalism, and the
best thing about it is that it's super easy. All you have to do is work on your presentation. When
an effect does all that for you, what more can you ask for? Nothing, but applause. Add it to your
cart. You wont regret it.

This book is a great thing to have... even if you are not doing shows. the book is fully examinable
and 99% of the effect is due to the acting. I love it becauce it is a different type of effect other
than cards or coins and most people seem to enjoy it while others are just creeped out. If you are
on the edge of of the fence... so to speak... i would add this to your next purchase and hopfully
you will find it just as cool and useful as I do

Ok. If their is one effect out their that I can't reccomend enough... Its the Dracula Book
Test.
I can't say more. Go to the Discussion forum and read a review in the Review section by MagicMan135... This is just too good. Way too good.
