Want to learn a bunch of accessible card magic? Great. Want to discuss the important and fun parts of card trick construction? That too. Want to stretch the width and the depth of your card trick process? John Bannon will not teach you anything. Join instead a laid-back exploration down the rabbit hole and through the looking glass of card magic. Bannon thinks he knows a thing or two about card magic. He still has a few tricks up his sleeve. Can we talk?

  • A lot of virtual tricks are not very good, right? You wouldn't do them if you had a choice, right? Why? Too contrived? Media dependent (that is, you can't do them live)? What if you could? Just because it's virtual doesn't necessarily mean it can't be done live.
  • A discussion of non-virtual, virtual card tricks. Why they're good, why they're good enough, and why some are still good performed live.

It is mandatory that all students have a working video camera and leave it on for the duration of each class.

These sessions are not to be recorded. Please do not use Zoom’s recording feature, or third-party recording software to store these classes for later viewing.

Registration can be cancelled or changed until 5 days prior to the class start date.
