Magician borrows a finger ring from a spectator and vanishes it utilizing one of several magical performance methods. The Magician then attempts to perform a trick to produce the ring, fails and only a quarter appears.

Then after an apology the magician hands the quarter to the volunteer with instructions to insert the quarter into the gumball machine to receive a consolation prize. After the coin is inserted and the handle is turned, the capsule drops out of the chute and the consolation prize is the ring in the capsule.

Five Peso routine*
Magician borrows a finger ring from a spectator and vanishes it utilizing one of several magical performance methods. The Magician then attempts to perform a trick to produce the ring, fails and only a Peso appears.

Then after an apology the magician hands the 5 Peso coin to the volunteer with instructions to insert the coin into the gumball machine to receive a consolation prize. After the coin is inserted and the handle is turned, the capsule drops out of the chute and the consolation prize is the ring in the capsule.

For the out of the box imaginative magician this is a great two volunteer gumball machine routine to perform at a special couples event such as anniversary or engagement party or any event that has two honored attendees.

The routine is started with calling up the husband and wife at an anniversary party or the engaged couple at an engagement party or twins at a birthday party, or any event that has two honored attendees with the audience applauding, to get the audience to applaud, just say “everyone welcome the honored guests name and name”.

The magician starts by performing a routine that will cause the ring to disappear; the magician continues performing a comically executed routine that supposed to make the ring appear and fails when only a quarter appears, the quarter is handed to one of the volunteers; the magician tries again and again only produces a quarter that is handed to the remaining person; the two quarters held by the guest of honors are individually inserted into the gumball machine, the handle is turned to produce the missing wedding ring or engagement and then the ring is returned to the persons finger with the audience standing ovation.
