I agree completely that the gimmick is easy to spot, but I also want to mention that this effect is not as easy as people say it it. You can practice for hours, but there is always a feasible chance that your sleight of hand is not flawless. One tiny slip will expose the trick, and I'm talking about a tiny slip that can happen to experts. Even if it's done right, there's a chance the gimmick will be spotted after the trick is over by someone who's not poring over the restored card. This trick definitely has potential and you may get it to work ninety percent of the time, but it is not Daniel Garcia's most bulletproof trick.7 of 7 magicians found this helpful.

hey even tho i got it the second the download was available someone wrote a review before me but yeah this trick is tooo cool, its possible the person will get a glimpse of something if you do it under lights try doing it outside or in the settings daniel was in , and depends on your angle under lights too other than that i love it4 of 4 magicians found this helpful.

Dont listen to other reviews that say you can see the gimmick or that it has to be in low light situations. They probably just didn't make theirs so well. You really can't see it and proof is, look at the video; the gimmick is in full view. Could you see it?2 of 2 magicians found this helpful.
Very practical, believable rip, slick and insanely visual restore, and its instantly reset.
If you want a good rip and restore trick with cards, this is probably the most visual, easy, and practical version.

This trick is a great trick to do, but it is a bit tricky to master. It is a simple trick to do but a bit more to master. The problem with this trick is that if you are left handed yo may find it slightly more difficult to do. You could remake the gimmick the opposite way but i find the trick isn't as strong because they don't have the corner of the card with the value and suit in there hand. I do still Recommend this trick to slightly more advanced magicians. 4 Star ****2 of 2 magicians found this helpful.

Save your money on this one. Order torn instead, it's well worth the money, although it takes some practice. If you're in well lit conditions, or showing this effect to someone with an IQ over 10, they'll figure it out.2 of 2 magicians found this helpful.
weak effect Report this review

This trick has the potential to be hard hitting in a very select few settings. The light has to be perfect and the angles that work are limited before the gimmick becomes obvious. I usually practice effects on close friends before performing in public, and usually I can fool them all. With this one however, they all picked up on what was happening right away. It looks too much like what is happening rather than looking like what the spectator is supposed to think is happening.2 of 2 magicians found this helpful.

Well, it's a good trick. Easy to master, at least for me.2 of 3 magicians found this helpful.
You will tear one card only for all the performances.
It's not even that bad, you will have to have a duplicate card when making the gimmick for yourself, the gimmick btw is really easy to make. And you will need a double backer and a few extra card to rip up

i bought this trick the other day and have been working on it since then, but i have realized that the only way it is effective is in extremely low light situations. in any other type of light the gimmick becomes incredibly obvious, and anyone with half a brain can spot it. i don't think i will ever actually use this.2 of 3 magicians found this helpful.
