This is one of the very few effects that I perform that I feel comfortable performing anywhere and
any time without any fear of being caught. Under all conditions, this effect is brilliant. You can
be surrounded by people intensely stareing at you and this effect can still be pulled of. One of the
major problems people have is that not everyone wears shirts with breast pockets and if it's a girl
you are, it's somewhat intrusive (I found that out the hard way). You can just as easily use a
jacket pocket or a sweatshirt pocket while performing. The effect is not hard to master with some
practice. You should be fooling people in a few days after reveiwing the DVD. Oz Pearlman is not
anything special as a magic teacher (not like Greg Wilson or Richard Sanders) but you get the whole
effect. This effect is worth the money and I highly recomend it.

Clutch is one of those great tricks that just haven't been done. Unlike a lot of "new" stuff out
there, this actually is a brand new, fresh trick. The handling is very natural and there is very
little slight of hand used so beginners can quickly learn this too. The best part is that it happens
in the spectators pocket unlike most tricks where it's in yours. If you get this, you will learn a
trick that will always get great reactions from your audience.

Oz has done it again. He's taken an old effect which many magicians arent aware of and added his
genius to it which turns it into something no less than phenomenal. I had been performing this
routine for a number of years and it always got a huge response. However, I had to do all the work,
the shuffling of cards along with placing the card into the deck. What makes Ozs performance so
awesome is that you can use the spectators deck (or a borrowed deck), allow the spectator to place
his or her card into the deck, and allow them to immediately shuffle the cards until they are blue
in the face. I can now show my hands totally empty and with next to minimal handling, reveal to the
audience that the spectator has been in control of the cards for the majority of the routine. Oz
uses a secret method for you to instantly locate the spectators particular card which is simple as
can be and so unsuspecting to anyone around. Whats more, you can learn this method and apply it
to many other card routines. Even if you know how this routine is done, learning the method is well
worth the purchase alone.
Oz is thorough in his teaching leaving nothing out. In fact, I learned from my own personal routine where Ive been making some mistakes that made my own handling more difficult than it could have been. For the money, this is purely simple to learn, profound, gets a huge reaction, and is a must be for novices to professionals alike. You wont be disappointed! Did this review help you?

magical & powerful than simplicity!
It works every time & it ALWAYS leaves an impact!!! One of the EASIEST tricks I've ever performed! In the promotional video Oz states that "the best tricks are simple" and that's no lie when it comes
to Clutch. I have performed Clutch about three dozen times before writing this review and have been
flawless in performance. The effect is as clean as the demo reel shows and has an amazing impact.
Spectator's eyes light up when you immediately hand them the deck to shuffle after they selected
their card. The reveal is super quick and requires no sleight of hand. My advice, develop a patter
that fits your image and you have an extremely powerful effect.

THis trick is really worth it. Easy to do and you really do blow peoples minds. I performed this one
on my Bosses Bday party and all of the participants were like WOW. the effect is just so strong that
they just can't get it. Definitely recommend it.

First and most important: this illusion works exactly like the promo shows. That is always key in my
mind.
Second: I feel like an extreme amature, like myself, may have some difficulty with some aspects of the card handling. That is, Oz is very smooth and quick and gives nothing away. I am much more bumbling but I've gotten around that by "telling a story" that goes along with the trick. That way I can slow down at each stage and, while I'm talking, perform the necessary tasks. This effect is great for quite a few reasons.Unlike a lot of card tricks where you can only show a
small group, this plays big! Secondly, you can borrow a deck. It can be done fully surrounded. But
the one disturbing thing that seems to be repeated throughout these reviews is that you can only do
this within the confines of a males shirt pocket. How absurd!!! How myopic in scope! To those of you
who may not have puchased this because of that proposed limitation. I assure you this is rubbish!!
I've performed this with shirt pockets, deep pants pockets, cargo pants pockets, hoody pockets,
jacket pockets, even inside jacket pockets. As for doing this for female spectators, no proplem. I
approach it with the same imagination and humor as i would in doing it in the deep pants pocket of a
male spectator. I keep the jokes clean and use classy inuendo, my audience does the rest to great
affect. Remember, as magicicans we are artist! As with any art form the freedom of improv and
imagination are our best friends!! Implement these and watch your reactions soar!....By golly Oz,
you've done it again!!!

I want to say first that the method used in this effect can be used in so many ways, if you want to
be creative!
This effect is great and killer. I performed this many times with my hands being burned and it plays out for the perfect pickpocket routine. Oz is a great teacher as we all know. And clutch is one of those effects that you can go to at any time and Oz's methods are simple and diabolical. He takes simple things and combines them together to make a real fooler. He performs this in a roof full of people and fools them. Please take your time performing this you are doing and amazing thing. Going in there pocket and pulling their card in a mixed deck. This is my favourite Oz Pearlman routine. It's easy to do and practical. I used to perform Mentalism
effects, but I still love this routine very much. When I watch the demonstration video, I was
fooled, and when I perform this to others, they were freaked out also. This is the one and only one
visual magic routine I still perform nowadays, I really enjoy it. Highly recommended!
