I admire people who try and develop new and original ways to execute effects and Hauss has certainly come across a new method, whether it's any better than some of the methods out there already I'm not sure. This isn't really worth getting but unlike one of the other reviewers, I wouldn't let this put you off buying any of the other effects Hauss has released.

Dan is a clever guy and this is a very clever technique that even the more educated and experience mage will have difficulty with simply because it's so unusual. I've already got it in my arsenal as a regular weapon in Seance & other Haunted settings.

The secret to illusion is something a lot of people will have already thought of long before buying this trick it is a complete rip off!!!!!

I give this one 3 stars... I feel that this effect HAS potential, and WILL jumpstart your creativity. The problem WITH this however is that it generally ISN'T practical for real world situations and you won't always have access to the material you need to perform this effect.
I dunno. I like the concept, and think that it was worth 15 dollars... I don't however like how impractical the method is. If you are looking for an interesting pipe-dream to get that creativity flowing, look no further. If you are looking for a good, practical, PK effect... Look elsewhere. Did this review help you?
This is a effect in the works. No timing or live performances are on the DVD so it makes it hard to see how it plays in live performances. I can see myself in a live situation at a sit down restaurant doing this but I can tell you one thing. You won't be doing it on the street. It is a situation effect. A nice effect to know but..what are you gonna do? Dan Hauss teaches this great and papercrane does a good job with production. It's cheap and it's a pk effect. You need to know that magic isn't real and that there are methods behind things like this and you have to accept whatever it is.

this trick you WONT use a lot but its a nice thing to know for a ( do a trick kinda moment) you will enjoy using it when the situations are right this will fry anyone.

this trick will have people scratchin there heads i've done little pk effects w/ loops but when i did this at a party i was at with a dictionary everyone watchin flipped. clean up is simple people don't even know what to think. this trick is perfect for when ur at a party and don't have a loop on you and if you do have a loop on you but people are getting suspicious then this is still a great effect. just don't knock it till u try. takes some practice,patter,misdiretction, and courage(balls) but once u get it down you'll be waitin 4 people to ask u to do a magic trick.

all in all the IDEA is great...but ideas & their logistics are two different things...theoretically its fantastic...but as a working piece it has to be the right "item" at the right time in the right environment...and if you are a fan of the show the mentalist you have seen this done...its actually an old idea...wish i would have know that...if your dedicated & can take ideas and run and are willing to experiment & take the time to develope it...it works...if not...it does kinda suck...
