"I believe Crazy Sam’s Mind deserves the title of Trick of the Year, for its feat of crushing a potato chip on the audience's hand, almost as if you possess telekinetic abilities. The only downside? It requires practice. But mastering it transforms you into a modern wizard." - Hanson Chien

BASIC EFFECT

You start by putting a playing card in your hand and flicking it from a distance with just your finger. Next, you place a pair of glasses on the table and, with your hands beside them, they suddenly spring up. Finally, you ask an audience member to put a potato chip in their hand, and using telekinesis, you crush it from a distance.

ABOUT PROPS

The props we include, with their size, as well as their color, appear the most invisible. We tried many different materials and are confident they are the best props for this trick.

NEW METHOD

In the past, telekinetic effects mainly relied on threads or magnets for object manipulation. However, neither method could achieve the distant crushing of a potato chip. Crazy Sam's Mind now offers fresh avenues for these effects, sure to delight telekinetic enthusiasts.

IT'S A SYSTEM

This trick isn't just one effect; it's an invisible force applicable to many magic tricks. It lets you instantly create an unseen impact in the air. Sam will guide you through this system from basics to advanced techniques, including various applications like transforming and making items disappear. The possibilities are endless!

You will never be able to do the set up unless you completely turn around, and even then it looks suspicious. It is not practical at all and very over priced. Another great looking Trick on the trailer but not good for real life.

Unless you have a tiny hand, don't even consider this one- way over priced for the small gimmick that is sized for a 12 yr old child - 30 bucks lost, lesson learned

Probably good with normal hands Report this review

First, the demo video is not completely open. You have 3 people, 2 of which are mostly in the video. What is done out of frame would have been very interesting to see. Unfortunately, you don't get to see that until you buy the trick.
I watched the instructions and tried to follow them. They are very clear but it will not work in my hands. Maybe if my hands were normal size, but the gimmick is way too small for me.
With the setup required I can see why the video was shot as it was, it would give too much away.
Nope. Nice thoughts but I will never use it.

ok so i have loved all of sams released material and purchased most. IMO this is a very clever and good effect, however, i feel it is way overpriced. Could have been a $12 download and let us get our own supplies. I say get it as it will be a lifetime keeper for the technique.

Very disappointing Report this review

I have normal size hands, and despite the video warning you the effect can cause hand pain, it really did cause me hand pain, after just 10 mins… you have to wear something to conceal the gimmick, and really it’s going to be visible from many angles….

Too small! Report this review

I agree with the other reviews that the product is way too small for adult hands. It’s too bad because the concept is cool, but it’s not possible to do with the small product provided.

Meh. Report this review

I was disappointed with the quality of the instruction dialogue and especially with the "gimmick" considering the price point. The trick itself has some interesting applications. It takes some practice and maybe can be applied in other ways.
The fake Morgan Freeman voiceover in the promo video should have alerted me to the quality of this.

Absolute GARBAGE! I'll be reversing the charges on my credit card. Real magicians wouldn't scam other magicians with a cheap rubber band! Shameful!!!!

Not a secret worth $27 Report this review
Verified buyer Pro Privacy ON (login to see reviewer names) on April 9th, 2024
After watching the promo video and reading the description, my (non-magician) wife said "Oh, so he's just using *****." I argued, saying there was no way anyone could justify charging $30 for a trick using a gimmick you can buy for a buck all over town- surely there must be something to justify the big price tag.

Nope. It is what you think it is- and to make matters worse, the included item is quite a bit too small for my normal adult male hand. Cheap to replace, granted- but super disappointing. I've bought things from Penguin that weren't for me, but this is the first purchase I've wished I could take back. To say the reset can be done in front of a crowd is a bit of a STRETCH to pull off naturally as well. They want $3 for the refill, implying a secret worth $27. I respectfully disagree.
