If you have to buy only one of two then go for the raven... with it many effects in the trailer of
the bat can be performed with the raven.
The bat is noisy for vanishes. (Except for a dime?) If you buy it dont keep the raven and bat at the same place. Maybe I'm imagining things but the ring effect seems harder to produce since I kept them at the same place for some time. Buy the bat if you want to performe telekinetic effects or that penny standing one on top of the other. Don't buy it if you solely plan to use it to vanish coins with your hands. Morover the bat is a strong tool. Use it cautiously. It is also a versatile tool if you take the time to use it not in the most obvious way. Buy Alexander De Cova's 3 DVDs called Treasures for more ideas. As I said about the raven, this item's range of use can be widened with PK Putty available at penguin magic at a very reasonable price. Well, I don't know what to say.
Maybe I am not a gimmick person or maybe this gimmick isn't what it completely claims. I bought the Bat DVD as well. So, here is what I felt about this. For vanishes this thing is noisy. Plus angle sensitive. As you rotate your hand, the coin might get slightly visible sometimes (depends on where it gets stuck!). For vanish, I would suggest the Raven. It's the best! Linking rings....the magnetic flux isn't enough. sometimes they link and sometimes they don't at all! :-/ I spent hours trying to capture any minute mistake in my handling. Realized the magnet isn't that strong. It's a pain. PK effects might work. But then you ll have to come up with your own method of handling the bat for that. The DVD can be used to trigger ideas to you. But most of the tricks aren't truly practical. This isn't an ordinary gimmick. It can do so much. Maybe the handling wasn't that much impressive in the tutorial but I ll soon come up with my own ideas to use the Bat effectively. If you are creative, buy this. Else save the money for Raven, as it can do almost all the effects of Bat. Cheers. Did this review help you?

It is not strong as advertised. I couldnt do the effects that are written in the instructions. Very

I wasn't a fan. It was pretty badly made and feels awwkard when you use it. Plus it's very heavy for
a little gimmick. THe rings that were included weren't good and it didn't include a shim coin. THe
instructions were pretty basic but didn't explain much and the instructional video teaches something
about it wrong. I wouldn't suggest buying it

Great device. In a nutshell, it's a less powerful M5. It's great that you can stop time (a watch),
move objects, perform PK type tricks while appearing clean the whole time. Totally mystifies
people. The learning curve is nil. If you use a PK ring, you'll like this. You can also do vanishes,
but I perfer slieght if hand or the Raven. I'm tempted to get a second one just for the ease of
maximumizing all the effects without repositioning.
Can't be the WOW factor, ease of handling, and difficulty of beings discovered for the bucks. ADD IT NOW or get one soon. Did this review help you?

I was absolutley flaming when I got this. I mean I was so mad for spending my money on this, and
having it not work. I read through the instructions and everything too. But then all of a sudden, it
came to me. I don't know what I did differently, but the Bat is amazing. If you like the PK rings,
get this too! My friend and I made up a whole routine, completly on the spot last night for a small
crowd of people. They loved it.

The bat is the best thing i've bought from Penguin so far. It's really fun if you get good with it.
However, if you are buying the bat to move stuff etc.. you might be a little disappointed with it.
Although I don't have the raven I've seen them, and I'd say that if you have the extra money, and if
you are only wanting to make things vanish, buy a raven. Bat or Raven, you can show your hands empty
with both and you will like what you get which ever one you buy.

The BAT is amazing! It's clings unnoticed, can move things in the spectator's hand, vanish, change
coins, move everyday items, charge any kind of rings, stop watches, rub a coin through solid glass,
disapear a match and have it appear back in a matchbox, make a pendulum swing and so much more! You
