This one is right up there with Cardtoon. It is a truly unbelievable card revelation, with a highly novel concept. This is a trick for people who don't like magic. Yes, you will need a table, and reset takes about a minute, but the result is well worth it. Mathieu Bich is one of the most creative minds in magic, and also one of the most devious. This one fools, and entertains, EVERYONE.
Note: this is the improved version - ANY card can now be named!

The effect is absolutely amazing and great in 2 ways!
1) It gets astonishing reactions, &
2) It's a treat to perform!
The only down side is that the cards, after a while, can start to stick to each other, which makes the trick almost impossible to perform. This is my second deck of "Spreadwave" and they are starting to stick again only after about 5-10 performances. Why couldn't they have made the cards out of Bicycle stock, in which seemingly last forever?
Other than that, it is a must buy. Genius!

This trick is just amazing ! :) I recommend this trick to everybody wanting something special and truly amazing :) The only problem is the television rights.. It isn't allowed to publice your performance at the internet or at tv.. So if you are an Youtube magician, or performe at the tv, you should take a look at another trick :)
The Dvd and deck are both perfect, and therefore i'll give it 5 stars!
Highly Recommended !

I cannot recommend this trick more. It is my favourite trick I own.
This takes about a days worth of experimentation with the deck and practice and you can get this down almost flawlessly. It is such fun to perform as well. I think the best way to perform this effect is just like Mathieu Bich did on Fool Us- using the advanced handling and Massive Attack soundtrack.
During my first performance of this effect, i had my iPhone just lying on the table to play the music. The response was some of the best i have had.
This effect has such a clever method and is something different and truly amazing. Your audience will not expect it and the final revelation often takes the breath away or even (as was the case for me) makes them chuckle in awe.
I highly recommend this trick to anyone who does anything where this can be used- (shows, weddings etc.). Although it is not ideal for close-up situations if you think you will have any use for it, just purchase it!
Truly awesome!!! Report this review

I agree with other reviewers that this is a truly genius card magic effect. I love Mathieu's approach to magic. This effect gets quick applause.
I do not agree that the reset takes a minute. It takes around 20 seconds, tops!!! And I don't think it takes months to prefect. This is an effect that one can train for in a weekend and then go out and perform! The lack of patter is perfect as well! It needs none!
Purchase and enjoy the wows!
I don't like it, but maybe you will Report this review

very technical. Too technical. The spectators expect that. They feel it too. Not good. It's not terrible, but kinda. If you want to use a trick deck that cannot be inspected to do a trick that requires lot's of space that is flat, and actually WANT to LOOK like an artist of slight of hand, then go for it.
great trick! Report this review

I was amazed at how simple it was to learn and perform the trick after watching the video and learning the secret. Be carefull with a the cards as mine would slide around a bit when stacked and might reveal a bit of the gimmick. Overall this is fabulous trick. It is true you dont force a card and the 2.0 version even gives an alternative if an ace is chosen. Overall great trick but i knocked it down a star for price, afterall its a quick video and a deck of cards.
INCREDIBLE!!!!!!!! Report this review

This trick requires little skill and all you need to know is built into the deck.

Basically, it's as smooth as it looks in the video. No sleights required. You do have to remember which sequence of moves to execute at which time (depending on what card is selected), but that's a matter of learning and doesn't take any sleight of hand.
It's pretty hard to handle the cards while making them look *completely* blank -- the spectator will probably catch a glimpse of some ink if the cards are not perfectly squared up at all times. I don't bother pretending they're blank, I just wait until the inevitable moment when I first flash some of the ink by accident and then just say, "Well, there's a surprise printed on the cards." That's the real trick, after all -- the spectator isn't going to believe that ink appeared on the cards out of nowhere (especially when they didn't see all the card faces), but they're amazed when the ink spells out the card they chose.
Note: The first deck I got was defective and didn't spread quite right (the grey-backed "key" cards would stick to the cards above them, so after "spreading" I'd have to fish through and manually separate those cards out, which makes the whole trick look lame since the spectator's thinking that I chose some particular spot in the spread to separate out one card from another). Penguin did replace it for me though.
