This can be a very good trick if done well. Here is one problem everyone and there assistance were performing this for a long time and it became over used. I stopped using it when at several shows I was getting the "I saw that before" line a bit to much. Be creative in how you make the cane appear and you will still blow away those that have seen it before.

They don't see it comming. The quality of Fantasio products is fantastic. You will need to store this extended. any one wil be able to pick up the handling in a short amount of time.

I don't do stage magic but I own one of these just because I love it! It's a great little gimmick and worth having just to play around with!

This is so easy to do!!! Literally takes almost no skill just a tiny misdicrection. Noone will ever see it coming. A cane just appears out of litterally thin air. Totally worth the money, so stop reading!!! Buy now!!!!

This is a great gimmick. It is amazingly visual, and gets great reactions. I even had someone come up to me months after I did a show, and he mentioned how he liked this trick. Now on to the technical aspects:

Quality: Like the Vanishing Cane, they say it lasts a lifetime. Once again, I still can't vouch for that long, but I am still using my first cane and it is in almost perfect condition. The only damage that has happened to mine is the white stripe at the top of the cane is starting to peel off. That's not too big of a problem though.

Difficulty: Unlike the vanishing cane, this is really easy. Can be done using just the gimmick, which will require a bit more sleight of hand, but if you use a silk, it's not difficult at all.

Overall: This is easy and magical. Great for a stand up or bigger show. It's not examinable, but shouldn't be a problem in most venues. I would suggest BUY IT!

I got my cane and read and followed the instructions. If you read the forums and discussions that are available after you buy the cane you can get some great tips for better performance. I like the effect but not overly impressed. I dont think these are worth $25 bucks either and thats why i knocked it down a star. I used 9 inch silks with it and you could go bigger if you wanted to. I would recommend for stage and not upclose work.

This is a good product. I purchased this plastic version of the appearing cane because I have young children who are also very interested in magic. I will say that I have not found the right silk for it yet, as the lightness of this cane can snag heavier silks, and foil the trick. I do prefer the metal cane for this reason, but for safety's sake this is the cane to teach children with. I will probably go back for the metal version in the future.

Great cane for a cheap price. I lost my other one...(that I had for like 6 years)...if you take care of these...they will last a while. Just know when you get it...it takes a bit to break them in.
