The reference book for coin magic. No magician should be without this book. At under $10, this
is a gold mine of material. The book is appropriately broken down into chapters that go from the
basic sleights to most major facets of coin magic. You start with the foundations of coin magic,
the utility switches, the vanishes, and the palms.
There are literally hundreds of tricks
to choose from in this tome so plan on spending a lot on time on the varied chapters. Aside from
the excellent basic teaching of palms, switches and vanishes, you get chapters transpositions, color
changes, gaffed coins, shells, sleeving, and finally full routines such as the Miser's Dream. My
favorite are the copper/silver tricks and there is some amazing, in-the-spectator's hand
A few downsides to this fabulous book. First, the book is no longer
"modern" as some of text is from a by-gone era. Largely, the text translates well into modern
patter and attire. Second, a lot of the new, types of coin gaffs are not covered by this book.
Overall, this book could keep you busy for years.

What else can be said about Bobo? If you're a magician and don't have this book, get it. If you're
not a magician but want to be, get it. It's the go-to encyclopedia, handbook, and manual of coin
magic and has been for some time. It could easily take a lifetime to learn all of the material.
If you want to learn magic and think coin tricks are hokey and 'uncle charlie', get this book.
It's true that coin magic is on it's way out because coins aren't worth any money anymore, but the
same techniques will work for finger rings or matchbooks or even lit tea candles in some cases. I
even had a little plastic lizard I played around with. It's the basic toolkit for doing sleight of
hand with small, flat objects.
It was first published in the 50's and the illustrations
and writing style are loaded with period charm. I love the mischievous looks on the magicians'
faces. Even if you don't plan on learning the tricks it's still a cool book to have and flip
through, and for 8.50 you can't go wrong.
This the BEST book written on coin magic. The descriptions are east to follow and the illustrations
are good. This is a book I refer to often. I am happy to have it in my collection.
This book is a good read and there is something for everyone and im sure you can get something from
it, but lets face it it is hard to learn coin magic from a book. It just does'nt work for me. I
would probably say get this because it is not exspensive and the basics are taught well, but if you
are advanced in coin magic then I say there are other things you could buy. When it comes down to it
though this book was a pretty big dissapointment.
I like how everything is very detailed I like to see all the different teachings in the make your
own gimmick's section. A lot of sleight's are introduced but they are the one's you need some didn't
make the cut because they weren't revelant so you know you got a very good product.

book is an absolute MUST BUY. THIS IS "THE" BOOK ON COIN MAGIC. Add to cart.
This book has
been in my library for years, and it continues to be a constant source of great information and
magic for me. There's not much to say but that there is no other resource on coin magic that even
rivals this book, and if you are into coins you just simply have to get this. It's an amazing book
that can and will turn you into a coin master if you learn from it.
This book is
essential. Just get it already!
Everything you may ever need to know about coin magic. Several old techniques to be learned in this
book that can be modified or used in more modern coin effects. Learn all the classic moves from this
book and do not hesitate to own this book. A great addition to your magic library.
This is one of the best things you can get for $10 seriously if you haven't got this yet you
have to get it! There are soo many things in this for such a small price you can be kept busy for a
long time, there is a reason this is still in print after a long time, its because it is the best!
Great starting point that will take you to very good.
This is a must have for any magician at any level. If you're new to coin magic, then this will give
you the basics. Even if you're a pro, this book will give you ideas for new routines. For any
magician into coins, it all starts here.
I usually try to stay away from reviewing classic texts of magic, but this is a MUST. It doesn't
matter how long you've been into magic for. You need this book. COin magic is almost all of what I
do and I learned a ton from this book. A few of the tricks are a little outdated but others are
really good and can work wonders for you. WIth a lot of them, you can grab a coin and do a full 20
minute show with it. Others might require 2 or 5 coins. Some use gimmicks, some aren't gimmicked.
There is also a really nice miser's dream and historical section towards the back of the book. My
favorite part is the Okito story, how it came to be. PLEASE BUY NOW!
