Definitely an amazing effect. People go crazy. I dont like using a gimmick much, but if you dont mind its amazing. You probably already have the gimmick, if not, 3-4 bucks and you'll have like 100 of them and you can get it almost any store. (got mine from walmart)

Red Hot Mamacita is magic at it's best. There really is only one red card in the deck and there are absolutely no forces used in this trick. As long as you have one red card you are ready to go making this almost impromptu. The reactions are excellent when you reveal that the card they chose is the red one, they it gets even better when you include the nice colour changes. I used to do a trick like this ages ago and it always went well. Pick this up and you'll be happy you did.

This was the very first thing I ever purchased from Penguin so many years ago. I watched Oz perform this and I just had to know how it was done. I was not disappointed. I love this trick. Oz' explanation is clear and straight forward. With a bit of practice and the proper effort this is something that your audiences will remember. Spice it up with your own personality and it will make them remember you.

The chicago opener is without doubt one of the best opening card tricks on the market. Having said that, oz's version packs three huge punches, but for my purposes requires too much set up. I prefer just to use a blue pack and one red card...you dont need all that set up to get the same effect...in my opinion

Often going by a different name on YouTube, this is a great multi-climax routine. It's sheer popularity on the world stage is a great reason to buy this trick - I have on many occasions been asked that question, "I saw this trick, can you do it?" and the best answer is always "of course I can do that". This trick fits into that category. Oz's teaching is faultless and his encouragement is always welcome - as most people know, Oz is a positive teacher and this always makes the process of learning much better. Great trick. Good buy!

Oz Pearlman has really found a new twist on this well known devastating effect. It's not just a new method, the effect is altered in a positive way (deeper impossibility)
Personally, the presentation chosen by Oz doesn't appeal to me. Differentiating between effects and their showmanship is a great way to find great tricks and (feel that we are...) doing them better. Oz is selling us a trick where there is still a lot of potential but his approach opens new roads. For the ones who do cards without parroting this or that magician, we cannot afford at one time or the other not to consider Al Leech's Hot Card Trick (the original name of the Red Hot Mama/ Chicago Opener effect) and, when we get there, we cannot afford to refuse exploring Oz's avenue. Just buy it early on: it's cheaper than a glass of beer at the counter: you can afford it money wise but you cannot afford to ignore it magic wise. Did this review help you?

This is one of my favourite tricks to perform. The sleights are moderate. If you are experienced you probably already know them.
This plays HUGE. I have gotten amazng reactions even from some magicians, and and frined i performed this to wouldn't stop asking me how it works for about a month! BRILLIANT EFFECT!!! Did this review help you?
