Good gimmick Report this review

This is a solid, well made coin that has several purposes. It accomplishes things that you would normally need a shell or goshman pinch hands of steel to accomplish. ADD to cart to get the most visual coin through glass table ever!

The Butter Coin is a great concept. A lot of us are familiar with the folding coin or flipper coin but who wants to carry around a whole bunch of gimmicked coins all the time. With this coin you will only need to carry one. The quality of the coin is actually pretty good, so it will last you a long time. Like all gimmicks though, they will eventually have to be replaced once they are used for a long time. If you are tired of tying to decide what coin to bring, get this one and you can have it all.
Interesting Concept but... Report this review

Yes, it almost replaces 3 coins (Folder, Flipper, Erasure/Rub Away), but not sufficiently that you won't still want to have them if you consider yourself a serious coin worker. It definitely can not replace the Folder for the most of what are considered the classic effects. It is an OK utility item if you are trying to pack light and it was definitely designed with form and function in mind to address some of the limitations of the 3, however winds up having some of its own. Do not buy this because of the Cover Picture - if the Butter Coin is indeed being displayed, it is not being used as a fake. For that kind of display, you still need a Flipper and frankly the Flipper will stand a lot more scrutiny in a coins through glass table or visible coins across.
I like it actually! Report this review

Stoned Magician here... I feel it's very worth the money. The coin fekes I use are Butter Coin, Expanded Shell, Super Expanded Shell, Cig Thru Coin, Hook Coin, & I use to use a flipper. I had one for 2 years and decided to toss it on Ebay cuz this Butter Coin is MORE practical... And allowed me to do Coin Bite again... The NORMAL Coin Bites dont work well. Never did for me.
Good but noticeable. Report this review

While it is quite versatile, and the dvd gives some good methods and instructions; the gmmick is pretty noticeable. When I first tried to use it, my 7 year old asked why one of the coins had a crack in it. This was with the coin just sitting on the table.

The coin is great and fools people every time. The only reason I left a star out is because you have to switch the coin for it to be safely examined. You also need more than 1 half dollar to do many of the other tricks. But overall this is a great coin and the dvd teaches many different methods. Get this!

This product is great. IT doesn't break it's easy to fix if it does. All around great and you have to use this coin for all the tricks!

I love the butter coin. It is amazing to watch your spectator freak out when they see their coin melt right through the top of a table; even a GLASS table!!!! This trick doesn't require experience with coins - however, sleight of hand is needed to perform the tricks. If you're not accustomed to certain coin sleights - they are explained thuroughly on the DVD. The DVD includes six effects in all.
Some good, some bad! Report this review

The butter coin is a utility device that has many positives! Yes, the melting through the table, even a glass table, is an effect that is worth the price of this coin and DVD! It is a jaw dropping, one time, visual stunner!!! The downside however, is it is not really routined in any way. Also, Alex works at a table's edge on one routine and has to utilize his sleeve in a coins across routine. This is impracticle for many strolling magicians. In my opinion, the butter coin has a few strengths over the flipper coin, one being it is easier to handle. But, if you master the flipper coin, it is awesome! For coins across or coin flights, the first sequence using the butter coin is nice, but the rest looks odd. (Shell coins still rule). The bite out is nice with this coin, but the folding coin, in my opinion, still does the trick. Overall, pretty good! I like that it can be use for more than one thing.
Cool To Have Report this review

This is cool to have. I give it three stars because I REALLY thought it replaces all three coins: Flipper, Folding, and Rub Away; which I've never heard of a Rub Away coin. It seems like it's only a folding coin; which basically it is. What I do like about it, is the tricks that are taught on the DVD (which, by the way, is good quality). Also, the coinbite trick with this coin looks better because with the original folding coin, you can see the folded part behind the coin, where this coin it's completely hidden; and what I don't like about the coinbite with this coin is how the coin is cut: wavy. I wish it looked more like a bite. Other than all that, it's great to have. People don't care what the coin looks like when it's "bitten." It blows their minds! They have no idea! Also, this trick isn't good for the coin-in-bottle trick. I'd say get both this AND an original folding quarter like the 3-In-1 Quarter!
