Be honest.

Part of you…wants to have…COMPLETE CONTROL over TOTAL STRANGERS.

Don’t feel guilty; A LOT of people wants this. That’s why so many people study hypnosis and body language cues and NLP. That’s why books like THE 48 LAWS OF POWER and THE ART OF WAR and UNLIMITED POWER sell SO MANY copies, year after year. Everyone wants to control other people.

Well, what if you could control people…without saying a word? And what if you could DEMONSTRATE this power, for ANYONE at ANY TIME?

You can. I know it for a fact. And that’s because I’ve performed SILENT CONTROL enough times to know THIS TRICK WORKS AND IT FREAKS PEOPLE OUT. Seriously, after you do this trick, people look at you differently. It’s that good.

Here’s how it looks:

You tear off two pieces of paper from a small pad. You write “STRONG” on one of the pieces and “WEAK” on the other piece. Whenever your friend stares at the “STRONG” paper, they have incredible strength. You can’t push their arm down or push them over no matter how hard you try. BUT THEN, when you show them the “WEAK” piece of paper, and EVERYTHING CHANGES. Their arm COMES RIGHT DOWN with tiniest amount of force. They lose their balance and STUMBLE OVER with the tiniest amount of pressure. In fact, they grow so weak…they CAN’T EVEN TEAR THE PIECE OF PAPER they’ve been staring at…

…until you restore their strength, at which point they can tear paper easily.

My favorite thing about SILENT CONTROL is that it doesn’t just ‘work’ for the other people watching. THE PERSON YOU ACTUALLY USE for this trick…WILL HAVE NO IDEA HOW ANY OF IT WORKS. They don’t know how or why they’re gaining and losing incredible strength. In fact, they’re MORE convinced than everyone else that they’ve been TOTALLY HYPNOTIZED by the POWER OF THE WRITTEN WORD.

If you’ve ever wanted to feel what it’s like to have complete control over other people…now’s your chance. It’s easy and it works.

-Rick

P.S., Quantities of this gimmick are very limited. We’ll have more gimmicks in stock a couple of weeks from now, so if you can wait that long, no rush. But if you want to get your hands on this amazing routine right now, I suggest that you act fast.

Manufacturer Says

In 1884, Dixie Haygood (aka the "Georgia Magnet"), performed several demonstrations in which she seemingly 'zapped' the strength of men by using psychological and physical trickery. Walter B Gibson (publicly) revealed that she used 'force deflection' to create the illusion of zapped strength, and then, decades later, in 1980, John Fisher detailed Haygood's 'force deflection' methods in Body Magic.

In the January 1968 issue of MUM, Harry C. Bjorklund described how to create a gimmick that would render a spectator so weak that he was unable to even tear a sheet of paper. His method appeared the following year in the Linking Ring. In the 1980s, Jim Klein manufactured a version of this gimmick for gospel magicians, and Wayne Dobson fleshed out more secular uses of the pad in Dobson's Choice-The Sequel. In 2012, Alan Wong began manufacturing this gimmick with a smaller size and fully invisible appearance.

I worked with Ryan Stock and AmeberLynn to combine the 'Georgia Magnet principles' with the Wong gimmick and create the routine Silent Control, which was filmed in 2016. The following year Lior Manor filmed a Penguin Live lecture in which he performed a very entertaining routine titled "Weak and Strong" described as "10 minutes of laughs and amazement while you reveal the first kiss of a woman." His routine, too, incorporated the two principles-the latter in passing. Lior described the routine as, "Things that I took from many, many, many places and put it together for a very commercial routine that I used for many years."

I've been advised that Keith Barry, Michael Weber, Tim Trono, Michael Close and Sebastien Clergue, have all worked on 'sympathetic' routines incorporating the Bjorklund gimmick and/or the Georgia Magnet principles.

I was very impressed by how clever this effect is. The gimmick pack small but plays big. The effect is very easy to learn, but the structure is very important. I would recommend this effect to anybody form beginners to working magicians. It works in every language too!! I can't wait to star performing it!!! Great job!!!

I am sorry to write this, but I think I have to. If you are like me a hypnotist, you know how to accomplish pseudo effects. But with this one I didnt have luck till now, which I knew right from the start but thought ill give it a try.
To make it short, to many people will figure out the performance secret and how the gimmick works (or better what it is) somehow. No matter how good you are.
To be fair here, I dont know how many people it will be out of ten, but to much to go out and perform it in front of many people.
My fear of being exposed is to big.

As a stage hypnotist it's always nice to find something that is easy and that gives a quick demonstration of the power of suggestion. This is perfect to use for teasers before shows or if performing strolling magic before a stage hypnosis show.

It's immediately going into my working repertoire. I'm pretty excited about using this one.

Sneaky Report this review
Verified buyer Pro Privacy ON (login to see reviewer names) on February 17th, 2017
This is just two very basic principles balled up into one easy routine. This is so sneaky the way Rick has come up with this. People will be easily fooled.

You can absolutely perform this as soon as you get it. It's easy to perform and work with. Plays well for a small group or a big stage. I can't wait to use this the next time I perform. It's awesome!!!

Old Principles (Modern Routine) Report this review
Verified buyer Pro Privacy ON (login to see reviewer names) on February 17th, 2017
I really enjoy Ricks updated version of these two principles that are integrated together. I did notice a similarity to Lior Manor's similar routine of the same effect; however, I feel Rick has provided enough of his own flair and routining. If you watched the Lior Manor Penguin Live Lecture, you'll notice Lior glosses over the handling of the spectators and explanation. I feel Ricks further analysis is worth the price. Also, Lior's "strength tests" are different from Ricks (aside from the first one with one arm out.

Overall, I love this and was immediately able to test it out on a few spectators. It's instantly now a part of my normal mentalism / hypnosis routines. Can be done on stage, on the street, in walk around, in parlor, etc. It's a great effect for any occasion.

Fun To Perform Report this review
Verified buyer Pro Privacy ON (login to see reviewer names) on March 23rd, 2017
I love this! The only reason I didn't give it a full 5 stars is because the technique is one that many may be familiar with for reasons that are obvious to some just by watching the promo trailer. Also, the effect that closes the presentation is soon realized to be more of a gag than some sort "hypnosis". I would highly recommend this as long as you're not expecting anyone to take you too seriously. It's a great trick to get some laughs with friends or in a street situation. If you try to pass yourself of as actually performing some sort of hypnosis, you may be setting yourself up for a fail. (PS. this is coming from an actual hypnotist.)

Easy and Impactful Report this review
Verified buyer Pro Privacy ON (login to see reviewer names) on February 17th, 2017
Rick Lax has done it again! This routine is incredibly easy to perform and impossible to detect. It plays as large as you want it to, but loses nothing when performed one on one. It packs small enough to be carried in your pocket. Making it a great impromptu trick or as a part of a bigger routine. What I really love about this is, even with out the gimmick it plays wonderfully. I can see performing this on the street, in the boardroom, at a lecture, on stage, on TV...seriously anywhere.
The explanation is logical and easy to follow. You will be able to perform with confidence immediately after watching it. I especially enjoyed the last performance on the video. It gives you an example of how this routine can be performed with a language barrier. It is well thought out routine with a great instruction video. Well worth it in my opinion.

I am not one to leave a good review unless I mean it! This is an amazing effect! It is immediately going into my keynote speech as well as my full stage show. Rick Lax did not disappoint with this one and I suggest you get it. I mean don't because I don't want people doing it. Just kidding! Buy it! Thank you Ricky and I cannot wait for the new things to come.

Fantastic Routine! Report this review
Verified buyer Pro Privacy ON (login to see reviewer names) on February 14th, 2017
This is a fantastic effect! You can tell Rick has put a lot of thought into this effect and it shows in the routine. This is incredibly easy to do however it does take some audience management skills. However, since this effect is basically self working it is a good way to practice your presentation and audience management skills.
The "gimmick" that is shipped to you is an old concept, but is perfectly utilized in this routine. Overall, I would HIGHLY recommend this effect for all skill levels. If you like the trailer I can promise you that you will LOVE this effect! Great job Rick and Alan, beautiful routine and I will be adding it to my pseudo hypnosis routine!

Interesting Report this review
Verified buyer Pro Privacy ON (login to see reviewer names) on April 16th, 2017
Usually, I give 5 stars for something only if it is a very powerful effect that gets great reactions with my performance. I have not experienced the reactions I expected from it, doing this routine. I feel like it is because you really have to drive home that the volunteer is not acting, which they are not. It seems impossible to convince everyone. However, the volunteer seems to have no idea how it is done, which actually surprised me! That is one reason I love this so much. It seems like the rest of the audience is more suspicious than the volunteer. Odd but interesting...
So, I was in a situation where I was not performing but someone knew I was a magician and asked in front of a group of people if I could hypnotize people. So, although I didn't have my gimmick on me and could not prevent them from tearing the paper at the end, I did have my OX bender with me. An idea quickly popped into my mind and I went through the routine with a flier I tore in half, but instead of ending with "Weak" and having them not tear the paper, I ended with Strong and made them look at the word longer. I then had them bend a borrowed quarter in their hand! It was convincing to everyone! It got a huge reaction (better than OX gets alone) and now by adding that to the paper not being torn in other performances, it creates a more convincing situation since they were just able to bend a borrowed coin. This combination makes the reactions far better!
