I've searched high and low for a thumb tip that I feel comfortable using and after many types I believe this one is the best (for me at least). Everyone has their prefences and I also own good tips from Magicmakers and Tenyo but when it comes to vanishing a 12" silk they don't sit very well on my thumb whereas these do - due to the rubbery texture.
The colour is darker and doesn't suit my natural skin colour but in actual fact this shouldn't be a problem. I also own a brilliant DVD from Duane Laflin (I'd recommend to anyone) and he teaches that in any vanish there is no need for the audience to even see the thumb tip. Therefore, slight differences in colour don't matter.
I hope this review may help others decide. I know these tips are more expensive but in my opinion they are worth that extra price.

Compared to other Vinyl tips, it's good; with that said, it's harder to remove a silk or dollar bill or things like that compared to a hard tip. The color is a bit off from my skin, though I know that shouldn't matter (and according to other reviews, I don't know that it's matched anybody's skin color well). Color depends on lighting too. It's great for a quarter vanish because it will stretch to fit the quarter, but other than that I prefer a hard tip. If you like Vinyl tips, this is a 5; if you prefer hard tips (like me), it's a 3. Next time, I would probably buy a regular vinyl because this one does not seem to be worth the $15.00. Penguin did provide great customer service. Thanks Penguin.

This is good for what it is, well made and does look natural, again is it better then a normal tip, yes the quility is, but it is up to you if you need a tip that looks more natural or not. Cool product though.

This is the only thumb tip I will use. It feels great and is definitely worth the extra money.

When it comes to thumb tips you don't need anything special but if you want something which looks realistic to give your that bit more confidence when performing with a TT, then go for one of these!

Great Thumb Tip. This thumb tip looks real, but does that matter? Not really because the spectator is never suppose to see it. With that, this thumb tip feels great. I’ve tried other tips and found they are too hard or don’t fit. This tip seems to be made better than other tips I’ve purchased. I also find it easier to load and unload. My favorite routine is Silly Billy ‘s silk vanish.

I own this and the hard, and I love them both. I'm a female magician and have a hard time finding a tip to work for my thumb. This is great if you have small hands or long slender hands. I rate it right up there with my Darwin TT.

I recieved this in a promo, and the cuticle and nail are amazingly realistic. The rest of the thumb is too. The thumb is dark though, and it is sort of small. It creates a suction action on my teenage thumb. If youre looking for detail, but it. You can make your way through the problems and it would be woth it. But if you are looking for quality, get another TT. If you've got dark skin, this is perfect.
