Fantastic book. Don't get this though if your new to card magic. Anyways, about the demo video for
this. His performance of ACAAN he did, he cut to the position before Jay named his card. If you're
gonna demo the effect, do it right. Why not just ask him for a direct hit for crying out loud.
You're trying to sell Mnemonica, get a better demo video.

Please note that the title doesn't mean that if you are a beginner that you shouldn't buy this book,
but instead, if you are a pro you should buy this book because it WILL fool other magicians. The
thorough research that has been compiled by Juan is just astonishing. The price of the book pays
for itself. EVERYTHING that you need is in this book (i.e. although it is a book about the
memorized deck, when it mentions a pass, a cull, a glimpse, etc. it also refers to it in the
appendix where you can learn that move as well). This makes it extremely easy to read and you don't
really need to go elsewhere to try to understand what Juan is saying. It is an "all-in-one" book
and as long as you are willing to put time into memorizing the deck (luckily, with my experience
with the Roth Memory System I was able to memorize the deck within an hour - I can recall any card
AND its numerical location in the deck while being able to tell you what card comes before and after
a specific card in the deck). What is more impressive than the memorized deck are the effects! If
you spend money regularly on trick decks then you might as well buy this book. For the price of the
book, you can be performing well over 50 SOLID, AUDIENCE TESTED effects created by Juan and his
peers. Please remember that this is NOT a "new" book that came on the market nor is it a brand new
concept. Juan has been fiddling with this conecpt (along with others) since the 70's and had
published the Spanish version of the book a couple of years ago. It wasn't until recently that he
had the book translated. So, just know that what you pay for is NOTHING. BUY THIS BOOK if you're
serious about magic. I've been doing magic for 15 years and it will knock the socks off of your
spectators (laymen AND magicians alike) as long as the deck is used sparingly and strategicly. Have
fun!

Working with any deck stack takes a lot of dedication. To realise its full potential, you have to
change your approach to card magic and work with the stack constantly.
If you're willing to commit to it, Tamariz's Mnemonica is about as good as it gets. You can get into it from new deck order, and it allows you to do some amazing things, like dealing any poker hand named. The book itself is very thorough. Tamariz takes you on a guide through the history of stacked decks, gives helpful advice on how to memorise the stacks and provides many tricks and ideas. It will take a lot of hard work to get up to speed with this, but with dedication, you'll be able to perform miracles. I saw Tamariz live at an all-night lecture in Paris, and he blew everyone away. This is one of THE BEST card books you can invest in, so please folks DO NOT let this horrible demo
video sway you in thee other direction. I'm sorry, but Scott seems nervous and awkward throughout
the video and the close-ups where you can see the tag on the bottom of his shirt just speaks volumes
to the devil mi care attitude throughout. If you're going to perform these effects, please be
entertaining. Scott is not selling the effects. I'd remove the video altogether so you don't lose
sales, Penguin. Nothing personal.

If the name on the book is Tamariz you can not go wrong. I have the book have read it and work on
the effects from the book. I do have one proviso for this book if you are not into putting in some
time to learn the Tamariz memorized deck be cautious. If you want an amazing effect with so many
possibilities this is a must have. It is a killer effect with no explanation to the spectator on the
how to. If you see it live you will me amazed. There is no explanation as to the secret unless you
know the method and likely own the book.

Juan Tamariz, as well all know, is a genius! This book proves what a genius he is! The passion and
love Juan has for magic oozes of each page in this book.
Everything you could possibly hope to know about the memorised deck is in this book and the variety of effects is amazing. I can't reccommend this enough! Did this review help you?
Hands down my favorite book. The effects you can do with a Mem deck is endless. So many

I'm relatively new to card magic(three months)and I felt that I was pretty awesome due to some of
the reactions I was getting, some people are afraid of me now and one out right said "the only way
that's possible is by using demonic powers".
I've had the book now for a week and have learned the mnemonic order. I just tried out probably the simplest trick to do with the stack and absolutely floored, and i mean floored them!! I don't see any way that someone would figure out how you are doing it, even if someone would guess they would dismiss it due to it's seeming absurdity. best book I've EVER bought magic/non-magic, I believe that it is a great brain work out! I am a 17 year old magician who has been doing magic for about a year and a half I am quite
experianced for the little amount of time i've been in magic. I have also read many magic books and
and watched many magic videos and mnemonica by far is one of the best things i've ever bought. with
alot of practice, a keen amount of card knowledge, and a good amount of patience you will be doing
the strongest card magic you have ever done before. After you memorize the stack you can do all
sorts of impossible tricks, I have used it for many venues and fooled many much more experianced
magicians. If you are a serious performer of magic (cards in particular) you should most definitely
buy this book.

I wouldn't recommend this book if you don't have the time or patience that the concept takes to
master. But if you do have the 5 or 6 hours that it takes, you will find yourself performing card
magic that defies belief. I performed two effects from this book at my local Magic Society, and
totally fooled pro magicians with 20 to 30 years experience. This makes the author, in my opinion,
an absolute genious. The best book I own.
