I've tried several bill switches, and they've all been effective. But this one happens in the
assistants hand. It is truly mind boggling. I usually develop my own presentation, however, the
presentation shown is just about perfect. He has hit the nail on the head. Making the gimmick is
simple. I made mine in 5 minutes, and I figure it will last indefinitely. Once again 5 stars is not
high enough.

Let me get the negatives out of the way first: if you are a magician, you are watching this and you
already have some inkling as to what's going on. This is far from a magician fooler, not that that's
the criteria by which we should judge effects!
But it's safe to say there's not much new
here. (Crediting is gestured at, but isn't very thorough.) For the practiced magician, what's really
on offer here is a handling variation. (Mr. Pattee even allows that if you know how to make the
gimmick, you can skip ahead in the 16-17 minute video.) And yet, as far as the handling goes, you
might glean all you need to know from watching the trailer. These negatives sort of make me want to
knock this down to 2 or 3 stars... I can't really recommend this to most magicians.
And
yet, that's not really fair to this project, if you take it for what it is. If you happen to be new
to magic, this might be a good investment for you. I think back to when I was learning these kinds
of effects and I didn't know how it was done. This would have been a great video for me back then.
If you are a beginner, this is a solid introduction to the workings of this trick. Thus my 4 star
rating.
And so if this effect is new to you and it looks interesting, you can hardly go
wrong. Mr. Pattee is a fun teacher, encouraging and ingratiating. He gives emphasis to some
suggestions that might help the beginner pull this off to greatest impact. There's not much sleight
of hand to worry about. Audience management skills are important, though, and that's one area this
video could have been focused on a bit more. (For instance, not everything can be examined. What to
do about that?)
There's a little arts and crafts, but not too much. It's all very clearly
laid out. The video is well-shot and the audio is great. Camera angles are all well considered.
And Rick Lax makes a cameo in shorts. Who can resist? Sign me up! (Just kidding, Mr. Lax!)

If you don't know how this is done, then click on Add to Cart. This will get great reactions and is
really easy to perform.
I would have given it 5 stars, but had to deduct 1 star for two
reasons.
- The trick isn't as original as it was made out to be, or as I interpreted it to
be based on the trailer and Rick Lax's endorsement.
- It's overpriced. This should really
be $5 at the most.

If you have never done a bill transpo, then this might all be new to you. Zach even says "there is
nothing new here". The only thing that is new is the little pop move. It's dynamic for a close up
bit. It's animated. But that's it.
Frankly, the gimmicking taught has some drawbacks and
is far behind some of the advances in this genre of the last few decades. So, three points for the
dynamic move.

Zach does a fantastic job with this tutorial. It’s his first, but you wouldn’t know it if he hadn’t
said so. He gives credit and thanks all over the place (including Rick Lax) for how great this
project turned out. Zach is a class act.
This transpo is very visual and easy to do.
Simple enough for beginners, powerful enough for pros.
The simple gimmick has:
No
flaps
No magnets
No rubber bands
No extra bits to fumble or drop
If you want a
great transpo with multiple phases, you’ll love Transfer, by Zach Pattee. (Great job Zach!)

There have been a few reviews complaining this is nothing new. Well, although it's based on a
classic, it offers two big advantages for me -
One: I'd completely forgotten about this
great trick. Thanks to Zach it's back in my bag again, and that's where it will stay. I'm sure there
are a lot more magicians than me have forgotten previously great tricks in our haste to acquire the
latest and greatest.
Two: The handling is a brand new. It's a simple but the effect of
seeing the bill change in mid-air is worth the price of admission and why I gave it 5 stars.
I was surprised that this was Zach's first video. He does a great job explaining the trick and
it's handling, and how to make the simple gimmick.

It might seem silly to call Transfer a masterclass in dropping a billet three inches onto a table,
but you've probably spent much more time and money learning how to move a playing card a shorter
distance. Zach breathes new life into an old effect with humor, humility, and beautiful attention
to detail. Buy this trick for yourself, and to support a working magician who seems like a really
nice guy.

This is a sweet little fooler !!! A great trick for street or table hopping. The instructional video
is very well done it covers all the bases. I've said this before, my wife is my trick meter. If I
can fool her or impress her, it's a great trick. This one did and she was quite impressed ! My hat
is off to Zach Pattee, he did an excellent job on his tutorial.

This is an effect very close to what I already perform, however, there are subtleties and a new way
of handling that breathes new life into this old routine. There is one move that absolutely sells
this - to me, a lot of money tricks involving bills seem more of a puzzle. This looks like REAL
MAGIC! I can’t stop smiling and I can’t wait to put this into my close-up routine.
