First of all, just like anything in magic- easy to knuckle busting- you need to practice. You can get rid of any sound or trace of the device if you put in the time and practice. This item is worth way more than it is priced.

I use this item a lot, and prefer it even more than the Gecko or Raven (I own both) as a vanisher. It's clean. No mess, no questions. The item is totally gone-silks, pens, bills or anything else you can get to work.

Yes, there are parts that you may need to replace once in a very great while, but nothing you can't get for under $1.50 at a drug store.

You can't beat this price for such a clean vanish :)

Just $6 for a decent pull, what a bargain! I've used my pull for all sorts of objects and I've never had a problem with it.

It may only be $6.00 but I have so many issues with this product. The promise is really great but what I ended up experiencing was much less than that.

The premise is really simple - The Universal Pull allows you to vanish things in your hands cleanly. A pen, tissue, hanker-chief, silk, cigarette etc. You get the picture. That's the premise.

(Considering Penguin is showing the utility, I don't feel bad talking about parts of it.)

Here's the problems: 1. The teeth on the lid that are meant to hold the object (partially or fully) inside the pull are poorly constructed. They snap easily and, if they don't snap, they bend and become useless. 2. Rigging this thing to your jacket is a nightmare. I watched Jay do it countless times but replicating this in my jacket was almost impossible. The best that I ever achieved was a lack-luster slow retraction of the pull that would have been spotted by a blind man.

Maybe you will have more luck than I but I couldn't justify devoting more than the 3 hours that I did to rigging and trying to use this gimmick. It now sits sadly on my shelf next to my two broken spider pens.

Teaching: Jay does a great job explaining how to set it up, and how to use it.
Quality of materials(if it is a gimmik etc): very good quality, and the only problem i had was getting it to fit.

Difficulty: not too hard in my oppinion.

Applications: good for a small stage, and maybe street, it depends on your location.

The universal pull is perfect for small vanishes. It works quite well for close up. Evidently, you need to adapt it a little for a perfect effect, and it requires some practice to make the vanishes look smooth. But with some work, it is a perfect tool for vanishes at an awesome price!

this product does not work if you are short. i am 5 foot 4 and this is too long for me. the vanisher does not retract. instead it hangs there.

it does great vanishs and really stuns the audience get it!

I LIKE IT BUT ITS TO LOUD ONLY THINGS CAN VANISH

I got this for close up work and even a little stand up. It would work in many situations but I found the size of it to be impractical. THe elastic is pretty good but not perfect. And the size of the actual vanishing device is pretty big to comfortable put in your hand. However, the color can mask that pretty easily for most people and it's nice plastic so things don't fall out or if you do a cig vanish, it won't burn through. The cap that comes with it though is really hard to get on and off and not practical for many performances. plus the teeth hurt if you get your finger stuck in them.

Teaching: There is an instructional video with this and I had no problem setting up. Very well taught but wait..there is more.

Quality of materials: The gimmick was durable, but the pull was noisy and made too much of a snap for me The gimmick is flesh colored which adds a plus.

My Thoughts: I don't see myself using this, it's too noisy for me and your surroundings have to cover the noise.

Difficulty: I can't really rate this. It is a knack aiming the pull but overall pretty easy for me.

Applications: I can see this working in a very noisy area. This can be used for changing objects or just vanishing them.

Overall Rating: 6/10 The noise is way too much of an issue for me. I will look onwards for other ways to vanish items. But what can you expect for 6 bucks?
