Imagine the best magic, the best magicians, and the best producers all in one place.

Imagine no more...

If you could have one set of magic DVDs, this would be it! This benchmark collection features just about all of magic's most enduring and classic effects and routines. It's a fabulous compendium with many of the top masters in the world of magic teaching their handlings and routines for some of magic's classics. Linking rings, sponge balls, metal bending, cups and balls, thumb tips, Zombie, color-changing knives, and many, many more topics are all gathered in this one terrific DVD reference set. Each volume covers a specific subject and features new, old, and sometimes rare footage by some of the top video producers in magic.

One of card magic's most direct and dramatic tricks!

Since the early 1700's, magicians have been dazzling their audiences by finding selected playing cards with knives. In the intervening years, legendary magicians such as Charles Bertram, Nate Leipzig, Karl Germain, Max Malini, and countless others have used this effect to astound onlookers and forge reputations.

On this DVD, you'll be treated to seven different interpretations of the Card Stab. Johnny Thompson begins with Max Malini's legendary version as he stabs three selections from cards scattered across a table while blindfolded. Michael Ammar contributes another legend's take on the Card Stab - this time Nate Leipzig - as two cards are located by a knife thrust into the center of a pack of cards that's been wrapped in a napkin. In a similar vein, Frank Garcia enables a spectator to stab their own signed selection in a wrapped-up pack while also providing a lovely bonus card production from a card case. Daryl finds a selected card by stabbing through a newspaper that covers cards that are spread across a tabletop while Jeff Sheridan expands on a Milbourne Christopher concept and stabs a card from a shuffled deck while it's suspended in a bag fashioned from a paper napkin. Steve Dacri demonstrates how to make the Card Stab play big as he stabs two selections right out of the air and Paul Potassy shows off the trick he used as an encore when he performed on some of the world's most prestigious stages.

Milbourne Christopher once wrote in Hugard's Magic Monthly, "Card-stabbing mysteries are effective on the largest stages, on night club floors when the magician is entirely surrounded and, paradoxically, close-up." In this volume, you'll find ample proof of Mr.Christopher's assertions.

Okay I was surprised with this one, it was more then I expected! There are so many different variations and they really are variations and not just a small change! I like the idea of these dvd's because of the fact that you can take parts of each one and make your own unique card stab! Just great!

This DVD essentially collects the great plot of finding your selected card with a knife. Great presentational ideas here, suitable for the stage or close up.

Johnny Thompson's Malini card stab is a great start, where 3 selected cards are stabbed on a chopping board while blindfolded. He doesn't go into the blindfold much, but great ideas presentational opportunity here.

Michael Ammar's Card stab is alright. fairly standard where the knife finds 2 selected card through a napkin. its ok, not as dramatic, as the card doesn't actually "Stab" a card.

Frank Garcia's card stab is similar to Ammar's. but you get a great bonus here where a selected card pops out of the card box. This is great!!! what a nice bonus. VERY visual.

Daryl's card stab through newspaper is similar to Johnny Thompson except its through a newspaper.

Jeff Sheridans' card stab is great. This is my favourite on the DVD. a selected is lost in the deck, deck is place in the card case, card case wraped around the napkin. and the knife stabs through the napkin. when the napkin is ripped away, the card is through the knife and the unopen card case is unharm with all the cards still inside. GREAT effect. The reveal is absolutely fantastic. I will be using this one.

Steve Dacri's card stab is a fun comical routine. You will need extra props and equipment to perform this, but in terms of a true card stab in the air of TWO selections, this is it. fantastic for the stage.

Paul Potassy's card stab is hilarious. Paul's presentation is funny, and plenty of good lines. technique is covered in the previous effects, but its his presentation here that is worth watching.

I've always wanted to learn a good card stab, and this DVD didn't help me learn one. It actually helped me learn 4. This is excellent instruction in the card stab methods, and I would highly recommend it.

I love it, and you will too.
