In this day and age there are hundreds, no, thousands of people who claim to know what they're talking about, and who are trying to sell you the enormous gift(!) of their so-called knowledge. Now, many of them are sitting at a kitchen table, thinking about stuff, and then selling it to you, because they think it is amazing material! But it doesn't always work, at all.

Benji's material is based on real world working stuff, and his thinking is the finest that you will ever find. I would recommend it to everyone in my own area, but I honestly don't want any of them to know about it!

So,get it, and your career will move forward. But don't tell anyone that I know, or is my competition, because I want Benji's material to work for me, not them.

I added this to my cart as an impulse buy on my most recent Penguin shopping spree. It's very hard to put my feelings about it into words. After watching the first DVD I thought that it was money wasted - not only was the production quality very low (We're talking Powerpoint slides with recorded voice-over), but it seemed that Benji was saying the same thing over and over and over. And the main message seemed to be "You'll book gigs by showing people videos of you performing at gigs". This is all well and good, but how do you get the FIRST one?!

Thankfully Benji answered many of these questions with some far more practical advice in the later discs, but this shows poor planning in my opinion - the sections covered are not structured in the most logical order, and the habit of (literally) saying the same thing three times in a row continues throughout.

My rating of three stars might be a little harsh, because this *is* what I am using to start my professional performance business, so I am conceding that there *is* enough information to work from. And there is some gold, for sure; eg, how do you go about getting a video of your performing a corporate show before you've been booked for a corporate show? ;)

This is also the best resource I've come across for answering the common question "How much should I charge?" I *do* recommend purchasing this if you want to turn your hobby into your profession and don't know how to start. But I recommend it with the accompanying warning that the overall package and presentation will frustrate you at times, and you will need to keep going back and forth, watching and re-watching in order to find the relevant details.

It helped me out by starting my business and getting it running up for shows thanks a must have if you want to start your career

the material and the topic on this set are valuable. it's moneymaker stuff. but production quality isn't great. it could actually be sold as a CD set with just the audio.

i dont yet have this set but for only $45 dollar you would be insane not to buy this!
