Triumph and Triumph Again
A double punch triumph effect.

One of the best plots in card magic with a surprising twist. Two handlings are explained, and only an ordinary deck of cards is necessary. Pefect for walk-around and a formal close-up performance.

"Stunning. Stunning."
- Jason Alexander

Running time: 33min

A.A.C.A.A.N.
Asi's any card at any number.

Constructed from years of trial and error, Asi's Any Card at Any Number is a masterpiece of modern-day magic. The effect is suitable for both close-up and stage with a method that is nearly impossible to reconstruct. It can be performed surrounded and may be repeated with no additional setup required. Only an ordinary deck of cards is used. Nothing else.

"You fooled me badly. This is by far the best A.C.A.A.N I have seen."
- Johnny Thompson

Running time: 41min

Double Exposure
Triumph captured in a photo.

A mind-blowing new take on a classic effect. Double Exposure by Asi Wind is a reality altering version of Triumph that happens within a borrowed camera. There are no gimmicks or special applications needed. 100% impromptu. Just you, a deck of cards, and a borrowed camera are all that's necessary.

Performed by David Blaine on national television.

Running time: 23min

Because this is so awesome that I don't want people doing it badly and letting everyone in on the secrets in this amazing video!!

This is card magic at it's finest, in my opinion! It's in no way easy to do, but if you put in the time and have some audience management skills under your belt, then it doesn't get any better than this. "Double Exposure" is incredibly baffling for laymen. "A.A.C.A.A.N." although not groundbreaking in method, is soon going to become my favorite within that plot. Once I become comfortable with the handling that is.

These routines all use intermediate to advanced card control, and attention management (misdirection).. If you're not ready to put in the time it takes to master these routines, than you have no business learning them, and you should probably move on to something else. It would be grave mistake to try and perform these when you're not ready, and ruin the overall effect these can have on your participants. I can personally execute every one of the moves needed, but I'm still gonna practice the heck out of them before I ever try and perform them in public.

I do think I should mention for those of you who haven't yet memorized a stack in numerical order, you'll need to do that first, before you can perform AACAAN, this fact holds true to most ACAANs, but not all. However the description says "no additional setup", which is true, but don't let that fool you, you do need a setup, initially!

I really don't want to recommend this DVD to anyone, As cliche as this statement is, I really mean it! I love all three of these routines so much, that I really would love to be the only one performing any of them, but hey, I didn't create them, so I can't stop them from getting out onto the market,.. In which case I can only thank Asi Wind for sharing them with us!

Please don't perform this stuff out there badly, these routines deserve your utmost attention to every intricate detail, and can become so very powerful in the right hands, don't let your hands be the wrong ones. I just learned these routines today, and I can't wait to try them out, but I'm not ready.

To sum up, if you're a beginner, don't bother. If you are up to par with cards, then this is stuff you will definitely wanna use. One of my favorite parts about it is that "Double Exposure" alone is not only worth the price of the DVD and-then-some, but it can be done impromptu, truly any time, with any deck. Without prior preparation! Aside from practice of course.

Get it now. Highest recommendations. Got all three of these tricks as downloads from another site and have performed them numerous times with awesome reactions. One of the moves required for two of the tricks is a little knacky first but once you get it you'll be performing with ease. This material is tv performance worthy. Just ask David Blaine.

Powerful Ungimmicked Card Magic Report this review
Verified buyer Pro Privacy ON (login to see reviewer names) on November 9th, 2015
I only do card magic. I mostly do impromptu card magic with borrowed cards, sometimes I use stacks with my own cards, but never gimmicked decks (unless it is a gimmicked packet trick) . I have nothing against gimmicked decks, it is just that, they can only be used for one trick. If one does a full card magic 30 minute act the presence of a gimmicked deck makes lack of continuity in the performance, which looks awful. Gimmicked decks are wondeful for a one time killer eye-candy trick, but not full card acts.

This is why I love this DVD. It has only three cards tricks in it. But this is exactly what beautiful card magic is all about. Magic that your spectators will remember. The cards are ungimmicked. So you can immediately transition into your follow up effect, or even hand them out to a spectator to keep.

I love that the demo video for each trick is in its full act (except for "Triumph and Triumph Again", which is cut, but nothing crucial is missing). Unlike some of the video demos here on PenguinMagic that are dishonest in their presentation, this demo shows it all to you.

The DVD is of very high quality, with visual effects added when necessary, and Asi is a good teacher. It comes with a menu with selections which makes it easy to use and come back to.

Here are my individual reviews of each trick.

Triumph and Triumph Again: Let me start by saying what I do not like about this trick. It is not impromptu (obviously). However, if you can RoadRunner cull the cards quickly, you can quickly set up the necessary cards in the process of finishing up some trick that requires you to spread the cards (an andvanced card magician would be familar how to seperate the suits slowly and secretly in the guise of doing other tricks). But this will not keep the suits in numerical order. So the effect will look the same but out of numerical order. It will be weaker, but it will be impromptu, and strong enough to amaze audiences.

AACAAN: There are so many ACAAN variations on magic sites. All claiming to have a clean version. Many of them use gimmicks, and those which do not, they are nowhere as good as Asi's variation. The version that Asi uses is gimmickless, but it does use a stack. You can see how it appears in the demo, nothing is left out. It really does look that smooth. Usually the ACAANs I have seem are pretty bad, but this is an exception. Furthermore, it teaches you a utility shift move that makes it possible to position a card into any position in the deck. This utility shift move can be used for other strong predictions and opens up a whole new door of possibilities. This trick is obviously not impromptu and needs a stack. However, this is one of those tricks where it be unnatural to shuffle the cards, since it is a prediction trick, and the deck needs to be undisturbed. Use it as powerful opener to completely devastate your audience. This trick/utility is worth the price of the DVD alone.

Double Exposure: This is now one of my favorite cards tricks of all time. It is impromptu, very artistic, visual, and strong magic. My only complaint is that Asi turns his back in the demo for a moment. I highly suggest to simply do a Hermann half-pass, even if you are scared of doing it, use the selected card as easy misdirection. But the rest of the trick is beautiful from start to finish. And it finishes your spectators with a memorable photo of the magic. This trick is worth the price of the DVD alone, and is even better than AACAAN.

This magic is not self-working. It requires a substantial amount of sleight-of-hand. Fortunately, for me it took me a day to get all of these tricks in order (but I been doing FASDIU from-a-shuffled-deck-in-use card magic for a very long time, and am comfortable with the required sleights at this point).

As other reviews have said. Do not buy this DVD if you are not going to practice this. You will just ruin the tricks. This DVD is a reward for all of those card magicians who rely on FASDIU skill instead of gimmicks. If you are one of those, definitely buy it. You will be most satisfied.

Absolutely The Best! But... Report this review

This is one of the best DVDs that I have every purchased. Double exposure is one of the most baffling cards trick I have ever come across and ever since I saw David Blaine do it to the Smiths I knew that I had to find it. Well... This is it, the exact trick that he performed on TV. It uses a normal deck but is not simple or easy to do. There are a few moves that I had to learn specifically for this effect. Double Exposure can be performed any time, anywhere with a borrowed and shuffled deck. It is Pure Gold. I would Pay $100 dollars just for that one trick.

The other two tricks are equally as impressive but require fairly intricate set ups. That being said, Triumph and Triumph again is amazing, it is the most powerful triumph effect I have ever seen, and Asi's Handling of A.C.A.A.N. is also the most straightforward version I have come across.

This DVD contains the Most pure, simple, and powerful version of two classic effects. If you were actually magic and could do Acaan or triumph with the wave of your hand It would look like This.
On top of all that Double exposure is (in my opinion) the best impromptu card trick of all time. And you get it all for 30 bucks! My advice is to buy it unless any of the reasons below apply.

Things that I didn't like about the DVD:
-Asi does not teach the most of the slights that he uses to accomplish these effects but instead references other books and DVDs where you can learn them. This is annoying but in no way takes away from the effects.
-His teaching style is very simple and to the point, but can get repetitive.

Reasons not to buy it:
-If you are a beginner Magician, and do not want to put in the work. These tricks are demanding, and take a significant amount of work to be able to perform well. Im talking weeks not hours. When you are just beginning I suggest using simple slights (the double lift, glide, etc.) and gimmicked decks (invisible, brainwave, or mirage) to accomplish miracles easily. There are good tricks at every level. These are good tricks but they are not on a beginner level.
-If you are against memorizing a deck
-If you are dumb, and don't know good magic when you see it.

If none of those apply click add to cart right now, check out, and count down the minutes until it arrives.

i'm sorry, but perhaps I am missing something. I bought this basically for the ACAAN routine, but have no idea what this guy is talking about. He starts the explanation by saying that the cards are stacked in the "Monica" and just assumes that you know what the &^% he is talking about. What the hell is that? Aside form the fact that he is difficult to understand, the explanation lost me in the first sentence. What have I missed? Anyone? what is the "Monica". Totally frustrating.
