Visually stunning!

The magician shows his spectators a solid wooden ball, a clear plastic case and two cords. The cords are threaded through a hole in the ball, which is placed inside of the case. The cords are then threaded through holes in the sides of the case. The magician then ties the spectator's finger to the case with the cords.

The spectator then watches as the cords visibly penetrate the ball, case and their finger.

The props supplied do all the work for you. No sleight of hand required. No complicated gimmicks to break, no complicated moves to remember.

Made in the USA .

More fun trick than you'd think! Report this review

Considering how easy this trick is to do, I'm surprised at the kinds of reactions I've had with it. At first sight, Odd Ball looks like the cheap gimmick effects you see in kids magic sets. But don't be fooled by first impressions, because this effect is completely examinable at the end, and is much less cheesy than you'd think. Two strings are threaded through a wooden ball, which is placed in a plastic box. Your spectator holds the box closed with his finger, and you tie the box closed. You can even let the spectator choose which strings to use. Then suddenly, the strings penetrate the ball, the box, and the finger! It seems quite impossible, and yet is easy to do once you know the secret. You can't "reset" in public view, but it your set-up can normally be done in half a minute. It's a great trick, and when you take the time to add in some good presentation, you can get some great reactions. I've baffled a lot of people with this one! - BoardGameGeek reviewer EndersGame
