Welded joints are clearly visible. A weld on one ring broke; now I have two key rings. Maybe okay for beginners or for practice.

This is one of the classics in magic, and every single magician should have one set.
On the other hand, the routine/explanation is really poor, but you should do a little bit of research and build your own routine.

The linking rings have been the backbone of my stage routines for over half a decade. If you are thinking "wow, all I can do is link and unlink the rings", think again. I have a full ten minute routine with them. There is SO MUCH comedy and magic to be had with these rings!! and seriously, look at the price for these rings. If I went to the past and knew what I could do with these rings, I would have gladly paid over 0 for them. The Chinese Linking Rings are a reputation maker. I cannot recommend them enough! If you plan on doing stage magic, party magic, or anything non-street related, I cannot recommend these enough! Nothing I say can even come close to the praise that this illusion deserves. I also recommend looking into Whit "Pop" Haydn's DVD routine.

This is one of the first magic items I purchased. Its a great classic piece of magic, and if you are a beginner, they are fun to play with and learn. They have been overexposed to the general public some, so I don't often use them, but I do on occasion. For the most part they are good quality, though I did have one break on me after a years use. The downside to that is, so far that I've found you have to replace the entire set whren that happens just because aren't sold as individuals. If you do get this, I recommend using a routine other then the standard one presented in the instructions after practicing awhile.
