Ever since the iconic Zippo lighter was introduced back in 1933, its users have applied cool routines to open and close it. From GI's killing time during WWII to Hollywood actors adding some flavor to their characters, Zippo lighter tricks have always been a sure way to boost your personality by adding some class and style. However, it wasn't until 1996 that the art of performing these tricks started to evolve beyond the basic moves previously seen.

TRICKS
Alex Aarvik (Norway) teaches you 50 selected tricks including the legendary Goofy Style series. Each trick is filmed from 2 different angles plus a walkthrough and slow motion.

BASIC TECHNIQUES
In addition to the tricks, we have also included 24 basic movements and techniques that will serve as a good entry point for the rookies.

MAINTENANCE
Learn basic maintenance that will keep your lighter in tip top tricking condition.

50 ways lighter sucks Report this review

This DVD does not help you to learn how to do trick with your lighter. Its just some foreign guy who is apparently awesome at zippo tricks and he just does it in front of ur face and doesn't teach u. And u have to rewind it like 78 times to get it down. Theres no speaking or instruction. Just him showing you that he can do it and you cant. I've bought DVDs before and none of them have absolutley no instruction at all. This DVD sucks dont buy it.

And the "slow mo mode" isnt slow at all. ITs impossible. Dont waste your money.
especially if your a noob at zippos

The DVD covers just about everything you can think to take that zippo to a new level. Why just pull your lighter out to use when you can make people see your more than doing a trick your doing something amazing. I had my doudts untill I started to watch and follow along.

This dvd is full of awesome lighter flourishes. You will want to be able to do them. The only problem is that the way this dvd is setup there isn't any verbal direction. This doesn't mean you can't learn the material, it just means it will take a bit more work on your part. You will have to watch carefully and repeatedly. This fact couples with the fact that I go sick of burning myself makes me give this dvd a 3.

50 Ways to Rock a Lighter... Report this review

This DVD is loaded with really cool tricks, but he doesn't teach you how to do it. He just shows you slowly and that's it. It's long and drawn out, and he is a horrible teacher. I suggest not buying this product.

It's FLOURISHES ... "Oh, blah blah blah, it's not a magic trick" neither is a sybil. It's just flashy things that are really cool, and fun... the people leaving negative feedback about how it's not magic are missing the point. I've used this dvd to add to my cigarette routine. add to cart.

Get a ZIPPO and Get TRICKIN' Report this review

For those looking at buying this DVD, make certain of one thing:

THIS IS NOT A MAGIC DVD!!!

This DVD is for learning lighter tricks. There are no magic tricks, sept for Twilight Zone, but it's easy to figure out. Other than that, if you're interested in learning how to do Zippo tricks, Get it NOW! Penguin Magic is the cheapest you can find it on the internet.

Pros
- PLENTY of tricks with different difficulties
- Learn maitenance and basic skills
- Menu selection has several languages to choose from

Cons
- Some tricks go too fast, making you rewind constantly
- The Extras section has little to offer
- There's no dialogue. Helpful tips would be nice

All in all, great place to start if anyone is interested. I didn't even OWN a Zippo, it's been about 2 months since I got the DVD and I'm trickin real nice. Contact juggling with fire.

This is great for grabbing attention with lighters! The explanations can be confusing at times, but they are capable of learning. Each stunt is awesome, and will get responces from your audience! You'll never hold a zippo the same way again! Get this DVD now!

I loved it, You can learn tricks from this dvd, just depending on how well you learn... its easy if you click tricks they replay it like 3 times and shows it clearly... Jut takes alot of practice to do the tricks like alex does... And just watching all the tricks is great to see them all.. I love this dvd and is def worth it :) So I say buy it if your into zippo tricks! :D

it sucks Report this review

Whatever you do, don't buy this. Like the other guy said it is just a novelty. It is impossible to learn anything cool (except twilight zone, but everyone can see how it is done). All the cool things are just fun to look at. There are no words and even still it would be to confusing. Spend the money on something you can use.

I don't even smoke and I had to get it. Twilight is worth the cost of the DVD, it just looks so cool. There is a lot of material to keep you busy for a while. They didn't teach the torched finger though. I give this one 3 stars since there is no talking to point out the moves, it's all done with 3 replays. So it's a little hard to learn the tricky ones, but the results will pay off if you put the time into it. Also, if you skip a scene the DVD will go back to the language selection menu. Or at least it did on mine which gets quite annoying. Good DVD, it's more of a novelty than anything.
