I picked up these sponge balls because I wanted to have some that were brighter than the red that seems to be the standard. In that they succeed. For your standard routines they are a great addition. I've used them and the brightness of them really even helps out with your sleights in my opinion. The only gripes I have about it, most of the other sponge material such as cubes, growing, bunny rabbits, are usually made for one or two specific colors. Also, the orange ones do seem to get dirtier easier. However this can be fixed by dish washing liquid and a little bit of water. I always keep about four of these orange ones on me for a quick encounter if asked to "do some magic" because of their brightness and use the red ones when doing more complicated routines that may require other types of sponges.
