The magician states that in an envelope he has four cards that are all kings and one of the kings is face up. The spectator is asked to announce his favorite king. When the packet of cards is removed from the envelope and spread out the only face up king is the spectator's favorite. The card is turned over, and it has a different back than the rest!

The effect is clean, direct and classic. Unlike other similar tricks, many of which were inspired by Mysterious Kings, there is no forcing or limiting of which King is chosen.

Awesome packet trick! Report this review

I really love this. Hard hitting, direct with absolutely no forces or equivoque. This means you can perform this in seconds and it won't be a long dragged out routine, asking the spectator to imagine this or picture that. Highly recommended! Minus one star because of the lack of examination, but with the right presentation that would be unnecessary.

Another great packet trick. So simple. The spectator names any suit they want. No forces here folks. You pull out a pile of upside down cards and spread them out. The card they named is face up. The quality of the cards you receive are excellent. The envelope it comes with isn't that great but you could easily pick up a new one for cheap. If you are looking for some more packet tricks, pick this one up. You won't regret it.

Hey y’all

Story: I once went over to my friend’s house and showed him a few tricks. After he was pretty amazed I pulled this one out of my wallet. He choose the king of diamonds and I pulled out the card to show him it was the one king I had turned over. He was flabbergasted. He had no idea whatsoever how it was done.

Pros:
1. Easy. That’s one of the most important things for me, because I don’t have much time to learn tricks. I learned it in 30 minutes and was doing it within an hour of receiving it.
2. Will work every time, as long as you practice it at least a little.

Cons:
1. The price is steep for one trick.
2. Not examinable
3. Its not going to get huge reactions.

If you want an ESP type, easy to do, packet trick then go for it.

In a scale of hard-hitting tricks from 1-5 (1 meaning awful, and five meaning jaw dropping) I would give it about a 2.5.

The trick is good and packs small. It is true, the cards are not examinable but with the proper presentation and once you have established some credibility with the audience this trick can be a real fooler. The simplicity of the method gives you a chance to work on your presentation and psychology.

Wish It Was Examinable Report this review

Good trick for when someone says "show me a trick", but would be better if it could be examined. Do a switch if you could and it would be better.

Honestly, this is my faviorte trick to do when I see a cute girl that I want to talk to, but have no idea how to break the ice. I pretend it's an ESP test, and I ask her if she thinks she has ESP. Of course she'll say "no I don't have ESP" and stuff, but once you show her the card she was thinking, it always gets her talking. It's awesome, perfect ice breaker for the cute girl you've had your eye on, but never had anything funny or witty to open up with.

fun trick but not great Report this review

I got this trick for free but I would have been upset if I had paid for it. The effect is cool but nothing is inspectable which sucks because people always want to inspect a trick that only uses four cards. I would not consider this effect for a professional routine unless someone jazzed it up with a switch. However, if you can do switches, you probably don't need gimmicks like these anyway. It's still a fun goof-off trick though.

A good packet trick. People think you are psychic!! The only downside is that it is not examinable, unless there is a switch. In other words, great trick.
