This is a great little gaff that is good to perform at parties, or even at school. As a magic trick alone, it isn't very effective, but if you perform it as a gag, then you will get better reactions. It's pretty obvious afterwards what is going on, so I'd say that if you perform it, don't do it right before a coin routine otherwise it might make it look suspicious. If you are looking for a good coin magic trick, this one isn't it, but if you're looking for a laugh, grab trick.

You'll probably get some decent laughs and maybe some reactions with it. It can be a good opening to some other coin effects, but I wouldn't recommend it as a stand-alone piece. More of a gag really than a trick. Plus it's quite expensive for what you get, trust me. I got as part of the halloween bonus, so maybe if you got it for free or cheaper then you can get it, but you can probably make the gimmick yourself.

THOSE OF US WHO ACTUALLY GET PAID FOR DOING MAGIC, CALL THIS A THROW AWAY!!! Do not knock it! You do it quickly, and go on to your act. This is one of those stupid, little tricks that makes your audience cringe, great for paciing!

This one catches them off-guard. Most of the time when you hand the spectator the coin with a nail on it they have a (as Paul Harris would say) slight moment of astonishment. My spectators would look at the nail, think back to where it was before, and then all start laughing. This is a pretty cool trick, but more of a bar trick/stunt rather than a main effect in your routine. The only difficult thing is that it is kind of hard to store without getting poked, but I haven't had a single bad reaction to it so it's worth it!

It is ok. But it is also really noticable. You have to be really good at sleight of hand.
