Richard's material is always good(?), but this is, at best, mediocre. While only showing 2 routines, there are no ideas to expand upon - you just learn it the way he does it. And, the entire first routine is based on a device that he no longer sells! Plus, his actual physical actions seem overly acted. Kreskin does the same thing, only better (performance-wise). But the method is close to identical. So, a waste of time to watch.

Richard gives a great performance using his Thoughtscan board. Watching this video over and over will give you confidence doing a Q & A performance.

Watch and learn from a master mentalist! He also teaches a very simple and basic Q & A, besides his Thoughtscan method.

I would have paid the price just to watch Richard do the presentation. I performed the first routine in this video about 6 times within the last month and I am very thankful to have something so angle-friendly. He goes in depth more than he did in the Mind Mysteries DVD and everything is thought out very well. Yes, the mechanics are simple as someone else said in the comments, but that is part of what makes it so good!

Richard Osterlind is a master Mentalist. He is one of my mentors in mentalism. This series are wonderful and this episode is the best I think. Q&A is a difficult subject but I really like Osterlind's way of performing it. Thoughtscan act is my best. Every mentalist who want to add a Q&A routine in his act or want to think deeply about the subject must look this episode. Thank you for sharing this.

While I already have a Q & A that I do, I thought I'd try out the method Richard teaches here at a high dollar, private, in-home show that I was booked for recently. It absolutely KILLED. For just a few dollars and a little bit of work, I now have a back-up, do virtually anywhere Q & A that is tremendously effective. I love that there's no pre-show work or unreliable "other methods" for getting the info. I believe this is a great and simple method for a working pro.

I really liked this installment. Great method, especially if you have that one thing you can buy from his site. The Q&A I have always liked but my method is really old school and will be greatly improved and easier using his handling. I took away one star because of the infomercial feel.

Can't really put my finger on it, but this routine seemed a lot more exciting and innovative from the trailer. There's a tremendous amount of set-up involved, and you have to build a gimmick of sorts to execute it. There's some good stuff in there, but I wasn't blown away.
