First off the rope that arrived was yellow, not white. It also had a large flat 2" ish coreless
section on each end that looked unnatural from a standard cut of rope. I was expecting white as I
think that looks more "normal" and is easier to match to a real rope from Home Depot. Not thrilled
with the yellow color that arrived. This is a simple gag trick, it's easy to work unless (as in this
product's case) it's not built right. Based on my experience with it this Made in India piece seems
to be a knock off of the standard prop by people who don't actually know where the balance and hand
sets should be with it. Typically this type of floppy / stiff rope will start falling faster after
dozens of uses, becoming more progressively harder to set to rigid as it wears down. This product
arrived at that "wear down" feel out of the box and I could feel a broken part at one of the ends
were the links were separated from their backing. Since it's set too loose (and appears to be a
longer than normal length which means gravity is working harder on the "lever" to pull it down) you
have to be much more careful on placing your hands closer to the midpoint to try to get it to stay
rigid and not flop sideways to recurl.
