This book is good for beginners, but not for people who can already do basic manuvers. This book seems like a few tricks, and then they are repeated in a slightly different way. Example: Card from wallet/card from pocket. Overall, I thought this book was pretty good. Everything is easy to do and explained well. Good, if you're a beginner and not so much if you have other books and are more advanced (like me). I still enjoy it though. For the price, I say go for it.

I received this book in less than a week...thumbs up to Penguin! This book teaches a few basic principals (followed by about 100 tricks) important for those who just started or are GOING TO start card magic. This book is a MUST before learning sleight-of-hand card tricks!

This is a great book for those just starting out (like myself). Nothing super advanced or that takes years to master. I've already done a few of the quick tricks and have impressed family at our last family picnic. One thing I was curious about is that I can't seem to find the trick performed in the video? I wish I could find out what page it's on or if perhaps it's a slightly altered version of a trick in the book(many of the tricks can be altered slightly with your own personal spin, a definite plus!) For the price, you can't find a better little guide!

I got a great reaction tonight when I performed the trick in this booklet where you rub one of the pips off a 5 of hearts. I explained that it was a cheap deck of cards, see this... For the price, there's some good ideas in it. I disagree with some of the reviewers who say all the tricks are the same. There's quite a variety, some self-workers and some with some basic sleights.

I don't really need to say much about this book, because if you are always performing with a trick deckof cards, then you need this book because you will transition over from having to carry many decks with you to only having to carry one and still be ablt to produce many great effects, and the spectator can look and examine the deck.

It's okay. In essance you are just buying the trick Oz teaches and everything else that comes with is bad stuff you will never use.

This book is okay. It has a few good tricks in the booklet including the one Oz did in the demo. And it didn't really teach me a lot more that I already didn't know but it was still worth it for the few tricks that I learned.

I guess if you didnt know anything about magic at all, it's pretty good. But if you already know some stuff about magic, I wouldn't get it. So if you know nothing or close to nothing about maagic, get it!

If you are a true professional, do not buy this book. It will be a waste of time and money. If you are a beginner however, I suggest that you buy this right away as it teaches you some basic tricks to get you started.

For me, some of the tricks I really liked, but others were very simple and variations of tricks I knew already. It's not expensive, so if you're a beginner, I would see how good this book is for you.

Ok, this book does tell you a lot of tricks and tactics, but mostly short tricks with one tactic that is almost the same as the next trick in the book. If all the tricks where totally different, there would be only 10 tricks.
