This set has everything you need. Beginners should own medicine practice daily. Experienced card handlers will still benefit from many of the presentations. This is a great set to have.

Not worth the money

Luckily I got this as a promo, as I would have been really disappointed had I shelled out full price for this. It may be worth it for a beginner or intermediate card magician. But if you consider yourself an advanced/expert cardician, then there won't be much here that you would likely use. There are maybe 1-2 decent tricks on each DVD. The production of the DVD is a little cheesy, and looks like something from the 70's. If you're a beginner, then go with Born to Perform by Oz Pearlman before forking over the big bucks for this set. If you're advanced, then you will probably be a little disappointed.
haha yes the music. I have to admit that I couldn't get through the entire set of DVD's simply because of the music. It wouldn't be so bad if it was mixed at the same volume as Gerry's voice, but it wasn't. So after every effect, all of a sudden this horrible music comes out blaring at your ears and gives you a headache.
Aside from that, the tricks are meh. Gerry's an ok teacher, but his humour makes me want to bite my own toes off. It's a very old style of magic that usually doesn't go well these days.
If you're a beginner and not TOO serious about card magic, this might be ok though. If you have tons of money to waste.
The only reason I got it was because it was a bonus. Props to penguin though. Great customer service and amazing deals and bonuses.

Potential that gets ruined by pointless music and number of DVDs.
I chose this as a bonus item, and I must say I wish I had picked something else in that price range, like Escapology with Dixie Dooley Volumes 1-3.
But I chose this because I was very pleased with the DVD 40 ways to force a card by Garry Griffin (Magic Makes, INC.)
And thought that despite of som stiffness, Garry is an excellent teacher and did a great job. But this volumes isn't worth that much of money at all. "It says complete card magic" and it made me believe it would teach you many cool tricks and moves. But there's only one DVD (volume 7) that explains some cuts and sleights, and for some reasons Garry explains much longer and deeper the easy flourishes and moves, than he does with the hard and challenging ones. And the other DVDs containts some easy and not very astonishing tricks, to mediocre and some very good. But to spread this out over 7 dvds and ask for such a price I don't agree with. There's many other card DVDs that teaches more cool and fun tricks and moves in my oponion.
BUT I think the strongest reason to my disadisfaction is the music between EVERY **** single trick, and it is so BAD and so ANNOYING, and also a lot louder than Garry's voice. It makes your ears litterally bleed whenever it is time for the transitions to the next trick. I can't believe what they were thinking?
It is bad.
It is painful. ( I have a very sensitive hearing, so to me it is actually painful)
It is extremely loud.
It is above all absolutely unnecessary!!
That alone is enough to make you hate this DVD's.
It has been 90% better without the music and I think that's the main reason I don't like them

If you're looking for 50 stupid card tricks, this is a bargain! You find their card.... their card changes...you find the wrong card...you count to 10 and find the right one. These tricks are for old people, none of them are exciting, the humor doesn't suit you! The only thing this is good for is display in a DVD library. If you're getting this for free, I advise you to GET SOMETHING ELSE. If you're going to spend money, realize you're paying perfectly good money for tricks that are repetitive and unimpressive.
