This is a very well made spring puppet, (so it is activated with your hand on the outside). It is easy to operate and bring to life. It looks cute right from the start, but the more you play with it the better. It is not a magic trick but I have incorporated magic with it. (Force a card, then have Rocky reveal his prediction, is an simple one.) Adults enjoy watching me with Rocky right along with their kids. I have heard adults say, as soon as they saw me bring in Rocky's carrier, "Oh, Good! You brought Rocky! I just love him." My only tip is to make it real in your mind. You did it with your teddy bear when you were little, so you can do it now. You can find cheaper spring puppets, but not better value for your buck.

I found that this was the BEST product I ever bought. I have NEVER gotten such a great reactions with ANYTHING else! Of course I couldn't do it anymore until after my dog chewed it up. It's THAT realistic looking! But overall this trick is AMAZING and I really HIGHLY recommend this to anyone looking to start performing with him. You can learn so much just from watching over people perform with it!

I used to think Rocky was strictly for kids parties but I once took him with me during a street magic gig and OMG he really draws them in, especially the women that are squeamish when it comes to "varmints". I like to put a turban on his head and some doublestick tape on his nose to play my partner in a psychic card selection act... the manual is extremely helpful but if you search out DVDs by both David Williamson and Jim Pace, they have tons of ideas that can really give spring puppets a life of their own.

I have video of my performing this in 1999. I still have it and use it, even though my cats bit half its tail off.

It's extremely realistic (until you look close at its face, if it's still).

My one gripe is, on what planet is this the face of a raccoon? It has the tail of a raccoon, but not the face. The unique thing about a raccoon is its EYES. Why in the world wouldn't you make it's eyes like a raccoon?

Wish there were other animals. It's time I get another.

Kids love this. They'll react to all the movements rocky does. Very high quality and feels great. LOTS of practice is needed to make him look alive, so prepare to put the work in.
