I have purchased Very Fair by the Other Brothers. Does this just do the same thing (this question is for people who have purchased both).

No, Very Fair uses a psychological verbal method to determine a thought-of word. No switches are needed or used.

Black Door is a mechanical switching envelope. It can switch anything that will fit inside. There are no language restrictions and no dual reality. Just a well made mechanical envelope that can be used to force, or switch things.
