Can you use a barrowed pen for this trick?

Can you use a barrowed pen from the spectator or you have to use a gimmick pen on the vanishing pen?

While you can't "borrow" a pen for Vanishing Pen, it comes with the totally normal looking gimmick. When I perform it, I often pretend to "find" the pen (really the gimmick" and perform it that way.

Can you change the color of the cap? I have several other pen tricks but the caps are all black

Hi, I bought the vanishing pen a while ago I still have my gimmick but the top the pen, that little blue part fell off and I lost it, I also lost the normal pen and was wondering if there are refills, or pens that look the same as the gimmick that you can buy.
