Colors, Force or Free Selection

Colors, Is it a force, or a free selection? Can it be done to all and any colors in that entire paint strip booklet? Multiple endless outcomes or is it one outcome ?

Per a paraphrased coment from the developer,

"...The outcome will be roughly the same every time, so you have to be careful about repeating the effect to any audience..."
