Dream Act VS 52 Shades of Red - Shin Lim

Hey guys,

Looking at Dream Act $ 52 Shades of Red by Shin Lim.

Dream act is very pricey for me. I notice a lot of people talking about 52 shades of red and I didn't know about that until I read some of the reviews. It seems like dream act is a big improvement or different especially with the smoke however I do use mystery smoke. Would you say that 52 shades of red is the same thing as dream act or is dream act a completely separate purchase? I know there might be some similarities or things that are revamped however I didn't know if they were completely separate things

I know it's out of stock here maybe it will come back, I saw this before and I'm not too sure about that extra $40-$50 everyone is talking about that you need to get an addition to dream act as obviously no one's going to reveal what that is so it's difficult for me to try and think of what that could be. Would you need that with 52 shades of red as well? Whatever that thing is they're talking about ?

What I get out of these two purchases is basically it's a whole bunch of different visual special effects included with gaff cards not just one trick alone which I thought it was originally, but I see it is more of a whole variety of different tricks and a big package hence the name act.

I look forward to hearing what you guys think of this. I am interested in both of them and seeing where they might be available but it's very expensive for me and I actually had all of my items I already picked out in my cart and then I happen to check the top 10 as usual, so I clicked on dream act which let me to 52 shades of red and then now I am contemplating possibly one of these two items. Really wish dream act was not that expensive but it does suck that people comment that you have to purchase an additional 50 or so dollars for something in addition so that's $250 is that worth it?

I look forward to hearing your thoughts. I was thinking of starting out with 52 shades of red and maybe that would be a good set up I hear purchase extra gimmicks as well, unless it's not going to be worth the purchase sense dream act is a lot better and improve however I don't know if I will be able to spend that much money on one item for a long time.

If you recommend either of these I will take your advice as well so I appreciate your recommendations and feedback

– Andrew

They are very different.
52 Shades...is a gaffed deck with props to perform card tricks and instructions to building other 'stuff'.
Some of the effects are simple, others, not so.
Dream Act is an 'act' with everything included to perform what you're seeing. There is one other thing that you'll have to get that isn't mentioned in the ad.
Generally, Shin's effects are a challenge for most. This 'holds' to that conclusion.
Thus, since I recall that you had difficulty with earlier effects e.g. Steam 2.0, I wouldn't recommend this...again, Shin's stuff is outstanding...and effin hard!
Best wishes.

Yeah I found out the answers to the extra things needed but after talking to a bunch of people I wouldn't really want to perform someone else's routine I really like his work I probably watch the lecture that I have of him. As far as the cards provided for 52 shades of red I heard there's a 2.0 version so I want to see what that's about what is this have to do with steam if you're using gaff cards , steam is a mentalism impression device I don't use any impression devices for mentalism anymore I like A whole different form of things I use now. To the 52 shades of red come in all red card or do they come in his signature cards? It's nice to have those kind of cards with instruction because I have so many different gaff decks without any instructions for them because they're not sold Anymore this reminds me of the new release deceit by Sid that no one has really done a thorough review since I'm interested in that as you know
