Envylope 2.0

I love this effect.
But the gimmicked envelope I received has a darker grey flap - the section that folds down and is supposed to look like the remainder of the deck - and is easily identifiable as false. The exposed surface is shiny and looks nothing like cards.

What am I missing something?
