Based on your reply to @JustStuff's question, all of us with a fast broadband connection feel your pain.
Note: sometimes with an 'extremely flaky WiFi', your direct download speed will be a little bit faster if you just download directly to you device and, once downloaded, watch it on your device.
Or, what about using your local library or such for better speeds? Anything like that available?

Because my my internet speed is slower than dial up. It is an extremely flaky Wi-Fi. It is not only difficult to watch online videos, it is impossible.
