Flash deck switch/the cooler

I've seen previews for the flash switch the last couple days and notice it looks very similar to the cooler. I'd like to know what the differences are between them and what advantages one has over the other.

The gimmicks are both designed to accomplish the same effect, but your personal style might be what differentiates them. I personally like the cooler because there is less sleight of hand involved and less misdirection.
